Mooloo, Alvor riverside is much prettier. Get down to Lagos if you can. Mum lives in Chinicato just outside, has been there 12 years and loves it. Less commercial than Albuferia, but beautiful and still popular. Jump on a train down, very cheap and safe, cross over the river from the marina into Lagos town. Property cheaper here than Albuferia too

Mooloo, have you visited Silves? Another beautiful place and the castle is stunning. For accommodation and prospective work space try to stay the coastal side of the A2. It acts as a fire break for the wild fires, just something to consider, that you may not have thought of.

Yes have been to Silves many times.
Going to have a jolly today and drive to Vilamoura just because I have fond memories of the marina.

So yesterday I drove to Albufeira, walked around the shops and beach, back to the car, drove to Vilamoura, parked and walked to Quarteira. Had a cool drink watching the fishing boats come in, and a plate of chips, before walking back to the marina. Saying hello to the places I know so well and driving back in time for dinner at 9pm where a cold beer went down well.
My app on my phone says I did 8 miles!
    Remember 8 years ago I couldn't walk 200yards and needed a stick!
Mind you today I haven't left the hotel. I ache all over!
There are shinanegins going on at home, but I have managed to coordinate some moves myself from here.
All is not impossible it just takes strategic thinking.
