  • Thank you as always, Puzz:T. Lovely to see you over here:j

As for the diary rushing along, it's stretching to several pages mainly because I can rabbit for England:o. I'm sure you already know that from my ramblings on your own diary;)

Rambling is good though, it helps get things off your chest.

Very true:T. That's a major advantage of having a diary of my own now. I don't need to feel guilty about clogging up anyone else's;)
  • Its funny, you talking about hair cuts as I always try and imagine what people look like on here and now have a mental image of both you and Puzz with short hair. You probably look nothing like I imagine though.....:rotfl:

I try to have a nice short style but it grows so quickly and very soon looks a mess:eek:. I've had long hair all my adult life but once I decided to stop colouring it and let it revert to its natural colour (grey) I started having a short cut. I dreaded looking witchy being an OAP with long straight grey hair:eek::eek:

Do you know Carol Kirkwood, the blonde BBC weather presenter? People always tell me how much I resemble her (apart from me having mid-brown (now grey) hair instead of blonde. When I was younger I really did look like she does now. I have a smiley sort of face even when I'm feeling 'down' and maybe that helped me in keeping my problems secret because everyone always assumed, looking at me, that all was well. A mixed blessing maybe. It's not that I've gone around with a fixed smile:eek:, my face just seems to be that way. I don't think anyone would ever say ''cheer up, it might never happen'' to me. Actually whatever 'it' is probably already has:(
  • Oh yes, she has a lovely face....I must admit, my image of you wasn't like that. For some reason...and don't ask me why, I pictured you as being a very short lady and with a face a bit more like Helen Mirren.....I do have a strange imagination though...:rotfl:

  • Congratulations on the ebay sales Carboot :T. I think a haircut will definitely make you feel good about yourself.

Your financial targets sound very sensible and doable and I'm sure someone with your determination will reach your goal.

I always enjoy your ramblings and never minded you rambling on my diary as it was always interesting, so carry on rambling :rotfl:.

  • Hi CBC

Just catching up! Your diary moves so quickly! I was a little worried about my question on your savings plan but it has been lovely to read the informed debate on wills & POAA that came out of it.

I am also a bit of a politics geek too xx

Please don't ever worry about anything you might say in a post on my diary, BalanceBy50. All points of view, ideas and suggestions will always be welcome:T. I love the way diaries take on a life of their own and ideas bounce of each other. There's always something new to be learned, maybe a different 'take' on an old and entrenched habit or idea. I definitely don't agree that ''you can't teach an old dog new tricks'' and I'll hopefully keep on learning something to my advantage until the day I pop my clogs.

Nice to meet another politics geek:beer:. I tend to keep quiet about it in RL as most of the people I know are either totally switched off from it by the current seemingly unending Brexit saga or have always been disinterested in politics. OH is a combination of both. I thought I'd eventually converted him to a slight interest in politics generally (after getting him practically kicking and screaming to vote for the first time ever in his life:eek: at the age of 50). Whatever interest he's mustered since has now been totally wiped out by all the Brexit shenanigans:(.
