I'd vote for a 2020 thread as it'll be easier to track what books I've read this year.... then again it's not up to me.

    Just started....

I'm very late to the party as ever but have just found this thread.  It looks really interesting and right up my street to talk about books and be more accountable for my reading rate than I've been recently.  Despite the various lockdowns and having so much free time I've become lost in other hobbies, mainly  learning new crafts, rather than indulging my usual reading habits.

I can't see any more recent thread than this 2019 one and wonder if one is hiding somewhere under a name other than 'The Bookworm's Thread'.  If there's still anyone out there I'd love to join you.

Just finished When the Germans Came by Duncan Barrett.  It,s a well researched account of what life was like on the Channel islands for five years after the Germans invaded at the beginning of the Second  World War.  The history was garnered  from accounts of many people who lived through that period and gives an excellent picture of how many people had to come to terms with their "visitors" when they were billeted on them for the duration of the war.    I found this an excellent read and it certainly filled a gap in my WW2 history.

Oops!  I was using the general search facility, I didn't think to look under the Old Style threads. Doh.   Found you all now in the 2020 onwards thread.
