Hi, I purchased a car from this company two months ago. I took the car back after a day as the breaks was under the legal limit, plus the car was sluggish in pull off. They had the car for six weeks and I requested a full refund to which I was promised.
I have tried to contact cherrywood and visited the site only to be told the company no longer exists. I can't find who the creditors are and I have been left with out a car and my money.

My crystal ball tells me the odds of getting any money back are slightly less than none.

Which named company did your invoice say you bought from?
Is there still a business running from that premesis.
This isn't just a ruse to make people think the company can't be touched is it op...

@hollydays I am a customer of these {Edited by MSE Forum Team} that has experienced difficulty in getting his money back.



My experience is very similar to Embley666 only it occurred in 2017. I would like to see this business shut down and the perpetrators dealt with robustly and properly by the authorities.

They have set things up very well to avoid paying out. 3 companies at the trading address plus also trading as a non-ltd.

I am not too bothered about them paying up I just want to see the operation shut down.

Is there still a car dealer trading from the address? If so it is likely to be the same people as Cherrywood Cars website and Autotrader listings are still live.



Is your car still there?


If the car is still there take it back. At least you have the value of vehicle even if defective.

I was told by the site manager of astwood bank that the company has completely gone and he was changing the locks yesterday. I've reported to the police as they have effectively stolen my car. I've spoken to trading standards and companies housing and I'm awaiting a reply from these. I've tried Paul's number and cherrywood main number but there is no one trading at this premises including cwc servicing.

The police won't be interested as it's a civil matter. Like I said the chances of seeing your car or money again are slightly less than nil.

The police should be interested as they are acting a fraudulent manner and taking something without paying for it is theft.
