gtq thinking about the SOTW, I like equality of the sexes, and whilst SOTW may well be won by a male with a lot to lose, (bet they dread it if it's the manky fruit and out of date tins in an old carrier bag week in week out!!) and perhaps that leaves room for an additional award? Why not have a Consultant's Award, that the SW Consultant then chooses. He/She will know the members that have difficulties losing (like those with PCOS) or mobility issues, or just someone who has been fighting at a plateau, so their award would be truly meaningful. Food for thought (pardon the pun)!
Maman thanks so much for the M&S syns. About to pop out now during my lunchbreak, and think I will definitely buy either one of those.
Dinner is now something to look forward to again! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Feels good to be back on track even if it has been really hard..
Going to make pork fillet stroganoff from the mag tonight and I'm looking forwards to it already. Lunch will be a hot chicken and bacon salad with "fried"onions and mushrooms.
Breakfast was a banana before WI.

Well I went to weigh in after all & was amazed to loose 1/2 lb off
& I had my jeans on!!Just having a quick catch up. Sorry if I've missed any good news. I did notice you've had a loss beanie . Well done all.:T
I didn't go to WI today. Although I agree with tete that it's best to go to WI if you're on plan or getting started, it gets complicated at target. I know I'm at target now and I don't want to risk going over at the moment. It's not so much the paying but I know it'll be hard to get back in in the next couple of weeks. I've got various meals out and a holiday in India.
Today was the first meal out. I had prawn cocktail followed by braised steak with new potatoes and veg. If I'd made that it would be low syns but who knows in a restaurant. Everyone else had sponge pudding and custard, I had wine syns instead.Gettingtherequickly wrote: »Morning all, well done on the losses. I ate out twice last week, once being at Brasserie Blanc, where just to look at the food was synned:eek: However, I did behave myself for the rest of the time, so was happy with my - 1 1/2lbs
Was thinking on the way home afterwards and wonder what you think. As with all groups, there are new members, one of whom is male. Now, we all know that the more weight you need to lose, the greater the loss in the beginning and more so if a male member. This new guy has lost a stunning 1 1/2st in his first 2 weeks, earning him SOW this week. However, a new female member has lost 1st in the same time, nowhere nearly as much as the male to lose, but not a sniff at SOW, which led me to think about SOW. By the nature of things, if there is a male in the group with a bit of weight to lose, he will have an advantage over a female, which can be very disheartening for the female. How many think that SW should consider having male & female SOW in the interest of fairness?
:T:T:T:T well done, when i started it was embarrassing, i won so many weeks on the trot:o for the first 3 months, i lost 3st in 3 months when i started:eek: took me 9 months to lose 2 st 3:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -

Congrats Beanie, GTQ and MatronMidge on your losses - all in the right direction.
Todays Menu
B Boiled eggs, crispbreads and a pear
L HM cauli and broccoli soup, yoghurt and a large orange
D Pinch of nom chicken zingers (no bread) wedges and HM coleslaw
I reckon that's roughly 4-5 syns so room for something else later if I want it. (I'm not synning my usual yoghurts).
When I briefly went to group, a young woman with a lot to lose won SOTW every week - she was delighted and amazed at how she was losing, and she was keen to learn how to cook properly for her family. I hope she carried on.
Happy weekend everyone.0 -
When do you go away and where in India are you going? bet Denise is having a fab time, do miss her posts though
We go in the first week of February for a fortnight. It's our first visit so we're doing a Golden Triangle escorted tour.:) I miss Denise too but I think she should be back quite soon.pollyanna24 wrote: »Hello. I'm still on track. Quite impressed with myself.:T:T

You look to be well within syns but sweetcorn is the only possible Speed I can see Pollyanna and it would have to be baby sweetcorn. If it was a wholemeal roll you'd have to have that and/or count the Alpen as your HEB. So you probably had 6 syns either way.
Beetroot's on Super 6 (45p) again at Aldi.I bought 6 packs today and will get more next week.
