Well done to the losers
Last night's meal out was okay plan wise. Meat was pretty lean and was a tomato based sauce. Will of had syns but reckon I was within my allowed amount.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - omelette
Lunch - noodles and veg
Dinner - trout, potato and salad
HAs - milk and cheese
HB - sesame seeds and 1 cereal bar
Syns - 1 for noodle sauce and 2 for dressing with dinnerZebras rock0 -
Good morning....Beanie Well done on your loss:T:T[STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]
OMG, I'm rich! Silver in the hair, Gold in the teeff, Crystals in the Kidney, Sugar in the blood, Lead in the butt, Iron in the arteries and an inexhaustible supply of natural gas! I never thought I would accumulate such wealth!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
From face book, looks lush
I have absolutely no idea what pease pudding is, or what it's made from, but if it doesn't taste rank, I reckon that quiche looks like a winner to me!
I was so tired last night that I was asleep by 8.30pm, so definitely didn't get round to posting here.
Will read back through posts at lunchtime, sneaking on now at work
Menu yesterday was:
B - 2 x apricots & an apple
L - porridge HEB with banana, sugar (1), milk from HEA (rest in tea/coffee)
snack - 0% greek yog with apples (1)
D - SW carbonara with 0% greek yog in substitute for quark/fromage frais. It tasted OK, think I needed some more garlic and parmigano, but it was bearable, and I didn't turn the sauce to scrambled eggs. Made enough for 2 big meals, so may have it again tomorrow, or over the weekend.
Nice low syn day, and I'm finding having my porridge for lunch is really filling me up. Just need to up my speed with meals more, but having plenty of fruit through the day as a substitute.
Today will be something like:
B - apricots & apple
L- porridge HEB, sugar (1) & milk from HEA
D - could be omlette, or maybe I'll nip to m&s for a meat joint and have that with veggies and SW roasties? Any idea what they have that could be low syn? Worried that anything in a gravy might be wasted syns, but obviously don't have time to cook a fresh joint, so thinking a braised beef, or lamb shank type of affair?
Have a great day eveyrone, and hope those at WI are all a bunch of losersOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Morning all, well done on the losses. I ate out twice last week, once being at Brasserie Blanc, where just to look at the food was synned:eek: However, I did behave myself for the rest of the time, so was happy with my - 1 1/2lbs
Was thinking on the way home afterwards and wonder what you think. As with all groups, there are new members, one of whom is male. Now, we all know that the more weight you need to lose, the greater the loss in the beginning and more so if a male member. This new guy has lost a stunning 1 1/2st in his first 2 weeks, earning him SOW this week. However, a new female member has lost 1st in the same time, nowhere nearly as much as the male to lose, but not a sniff at SOW, which led me to think about SOW. By the nature of things, if there is a male in the group with a bit of weight to lose, he will have an advantage over a female, which can be very disheartening for the female. How many think that SW should consider having male & female SOW in the interest of fairness?A smile costs little but creates much0 -

Not wanting to get too heavily involved in politics. I certainly believe in equality along all lines of the spectrum....So I was very happy when the pension retirement age became equal....:)
I agree that in the interest of fairness it should be SOW for both Female and Male...Edit: Just pondered a little more and I have to add that whatever the loss, we are all winners in the long term.
In case you hadn't guessed...I am male:D
PS. A huge well done on your loss this week...:D[STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]

So, I'm very happy to report 1.5LB loss
Feels good to be back on track even if it has been really hard..
Going to make pork fillet stroganoff from the mag tonight and I'm looking forwards to it already. Lunch will be a hot chicken and bacon salad with "fried"onions and mushrooms.
Breakfast was a banana before WI.0 -
Well done on your losses midge and gtq.:T
I understand your point about SoW gtq. I think probably having a male and female (where applicable) would probably solve the problem to an extent. It's not SW's fault that male physiology allows for more syns for men or that people with a huge amount to lose (men and women I think) lose faster when they change their eating habits than those with a small amount. I wonder if it would be worth just issuing certificates and stickers for motivation to men and women. I'd feel sorry for anyone who had to share the miserable offerings in the SoW basket.:rotfl:
sary, there are some good ideas in M&S. Lamb Shanks in Port Wine sauce (I assume one from a pack of two) and the chilled Count on Us braised steak are 1.5 syns. Then you could pile on the veg. Good thinking.I might get some of those myself. If I'd had something like that in the freezer last Sunday, we needn't have had burger and chips for Sunday dinner!:rotfl:
Not sure what you're doing tomorrow but if you do a load of extra veg then it's delicious fried up next day with cold meat or an egg and pickles.
I eventually got round to making more Bolognese last night. I'll portion it up for the freezer later and keep some out for my lunch. I've also got quite a bit of veg to use up so have planned dinner for that.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast with HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with SW Bolognese, pickled cabbagesausage, mash, fried onions, kale, carrots, cabbage, broccoli
Syns: sausages 2, gravy 4?
Not sure about wine syns tonight. I've got a cold coming and can't taste much, so might substitute with Lemsip!;)0 -

I actually think thats a good idea.
In our group 9 times out of 10 it is the same male who is SOTW.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
