Hello all, am still here (just) :o not been a good time for some of us so sending my hugs to you all :A

I am so glad I’m now on holiday as struggled through last week with this cold/chest thing. Woke up this morning with a gunky eye as well :(.
Had a shift around at work and now work with a little disabled girl in the afternoons. Although she has medical (feeding tube) procedures it’s much less stressful than what I was doing. Still have his nibs in the morning and am now in his class all day but he is with my job share. He has coped really well with that plus I was on hand when he had a melt down. Little girl is a sweetheart, plus I went into the job knowing all the history between her morning TA and family (nothing bad) which is better than another new person coming in. Child and parents already know me and all seem happy with the arrangement. Fingers crossed it all reduces my stress issues and physical tiredness :)
Bit of a long one sorry! forgot my WI :o last week was too poorly but was a gain of 2.5lb this week loss of 1lb think my body is full of ill stuff and hopefully when I’m better I will lose better ( I can dream :rotfl:)
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Welcome Sleazy to the thread. You're right that there is a lot of information in the first few posts. Do you go to group or are you going it alone?

Flat Eric today's plan definitely looks better! I always think planning is key to sticking to SW. I like to plan all my meals for the whole month and then rejig it if I get YS bargains or something I thought was in the freezer isn't! It seems to work for me but I know a lot of people only plan a few days at a time or just a week at a time. You just need to find your own way.

Had another small loss of 0.5lb today.

    Today's plan:

    B - weetabix & milk; banana
L - jacket potato, beans, cheese
D - Beef & butternut squash lasagne (from freezer) 2 Syns

    HEA1 - milk in teas
    HEA2 - milk on cereal/cheese
Syns - lasagne 2 (had marked it before freezing so probably for cheese sauce!); not sure what else

    Denise

    Thanks Denise,
"Going it alone" and I do try and plan but only a day or so in advance unless I cook a lot of a certain thing (veggie curry for example), which I'll then eat over a few days

Not going to bother next week too much - some hospital tests next weekend and a specified diet for a couple of days beforehand. A positive outcome may be that as they've given me some stuff to completely clear out my colon etc., should be fresh for me to start eating 'proper' again and not fall back into crisps etc. too often ..
  • Afternoon all

Stayed on plan yesterday went back to the gym this morning. (first time in five months!) so feeling pretty good Today's menu is as follows:

    B - Weetabix chocolate mini (40g) with SS milk (A & B choice)
L - Home made falafels with salad
D - Leek, bacon and pea frittata (adapted from a Joe Wicks recipe - omitting the butter!) with veg (broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage probably)

    Snacks - Banana, orange.

I love weekends as I have more time to cook and experiment!

    Have a great weekend, all

WI today and lost just half a pound. But I am happy with that as that’s 7 weeks with a loss every week albeit small ones. Total loss now 10.5 lbs.

I would love to lose 2 lbs next week so will be trying extra hard.

He's got a frame for indoors Beanie ,but doesn't use it .
I have suggested an outdoor walker but he is very resistant .
Maybe after the new consultant sees him and decides on final diagnosis .
No appt yet but suppose it can't be classed as urgent ,there is only palliative care if their suspicions are correct ,maybe a walker then .
    Tank you for caring x

    Evening,

Tete, sorry to hear about your accident. They're horrible, and can really leave you shaken can't they?

Speaking of shaken, I had a bit of a shaky moment myself today when I choked while cooking lunch. I was reaching into the cupboard for the frylight, and next think I know I've got an air bubble stuck and can't breathe. Tried to stay calm, tried to breath in through my nose not my mouth, but nothing happening, so rushed into the lounge where OH was and motioned for him to slap me on the back. Took about 10 hard thuds to knock some air out, and enable me to get some in, but at one point I did think I was passing out. Geez i felt awful afterwards. OH told me to sit down and wait until I felt OK and went into the kitchen to attempt to finish off the lunch, but admitted he hadn't a clue what I was doing as it looked like I was cooking several different meals! Deary me I was shaken up afterwards. Just goes to show though, in the blink of an eye, or in my case reaching for the low-cal spray, you're a gonner.

So, anyway, here is today's plan:

B - got up late, so it ended up being brunch/lunch
L - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, 1 slice wholemeal toast HEB, spread (1)
D - chicken & bacon carbonara bake. Not a SW sauce, so going to say it's the rest of my allowance in syns to be safe (14)
    snack - nectarine
    HEA - milk in tea/coffee

Got to go out to supermarket for fruit/veg/salad this evening and 0% yogurt. Determined to be much more on track next week. The valentine meal seems to have thrown me off kilter and I don't like it. Hopefully work won't be quite so hectic next week either, as it didn't give me much spare time to plan meals and be as focussed as I would like.:(

Hopef you are all doing better than me!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
