Hi LadySarah - PAD is just 'Payment a day' so you can find that payment from anywhere, however small, the idea is to pay something. So yes, ypur grocery budget underspend could be today's PAD. Others could be payment from a survey, an ebay sale, bus fare saved because you walked instead, £2.50 saved from not buying a coffee when you were out & about, a £1 coin found on the floor or in your coat pocket, a little bit of cash saved on your shopping from using a voucher, bagging up & banking small change, rounding down bank account to nearest £1 or £5.....the list is endless, but the idea is to pay something off ypur debt every day....or for debt-free folk, into savings. Every little helps!

    Hi January Joy-Seekers,

Evening!:coffee: Came in from nightshift and crashed in bed all day.

DW and I have made a big plan for a huge lifestyle change for me. Will share when I'm further down the line.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Continue my new Challenge 500 miles challenge. I am going to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. (There is a charge to use the local pool but I will offset the cost in other ways so there is 'no charge'.) Nope. :D Swimming tomorrow.

    * Check loyalty points. 97% of the way to a Morrisons £5 reward voucher.

    * Defrost homemade curried butternet soup for lunch tomorrow. Done.

    * Dinner is leftover miscellaneous Decemberfest munchies. Done. Turned off oven for last 5 mins of cooking time.

    * Take down the sitting room Decemberfest decorations and deep clean room. Done.

    * Make a pile of frog job items in the middle of the sitting room. I am certain to deal with them now as looking at them drives me mad. Will deal with the jobs tomorrow. Done.

If there is no struggle there is no progress.

    plans for today:
    NSD done
    PAD done
Turn off lights and appliances not in use done
    Make porridge done
    Meals from stores done

As well as my meager list from earlier, we have also meal planned and written a shopping list.

Me and OH have had a brief talk about finances, more talking needed as today's chat was curtailed by time.

Let my parents know how much they owe us for things we have bought on their behalf, generally to make use of our Amazon prime or combining orders for free postage etc. Money transferred straight away.

We have taken down all our Christmas decorations and packed them away into their boxes and celebrated Epiphany. I have taken down our cards and assessed which ones are suitable for making gift tags and which parts of the design I wish to use.

We didn't light the fire today as it was a lot milder.

Evening all, sorry for the late update, it's been a busy, busy day today

Got organised for tomorrow - I start a new job after taking a year off, the kids are back to school and DH starts a course for work

We also hit the leisure centre - DH and DS1 went to the gym, I went swimming with DS2. All free as we are members.

Food was all from stores and DH and I commited ourselves to working through the chest freezer so that we can defrost it. I have a lot of frozen rhubarb in there :o Made worse that we don't really eat the stuff but I had it coming out of my ears at the allotment :o
