Im always amazed just how much I used to spend on bits. I try now to get all I need in 1 grocery shop & it surprises me how much I used to spend nipping into co-op for one thing & coming out with all sorts...:D0 -
I'm calling today as a NSD. Number 9. I am not planning on going near a shop & off to my friends soon for a play date
keeps my LOs happy & it doesn't cost, win win! Then, I've got some YS popcorn which I'll bring out tonight with a film
I'm ignoring my frog list today but I'll certainly get back on with it tomorrow once hub leaves for the week. Hopefully Christmas 2020 he will be out anyway.

Have cycled this morning, had a lovely hot shower, lunch then taken kids to trampoline park. After that we nipped into town to get some chalk paint, also got a treat for the dog and some snacks for supper. I was having a 'no buy January' for clothes but I found a very lovely red jumper in a charity shop and it was too nice to leave at just £2.50.
Made a vegan chocolate cake today and have just had a slice warm with a scoop of Halo vegan salted caramel ice cream - gorgeous. My vegan pizza that I made last night was a truimph, I can't believe if I can rustle that up with barely any effort that I can't get pizza easily when eating out.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Apologies Turtles - I am absent at the weekend... I was meant to be catching up, but today has been long planned and I'm making a big mistake having my laptop out when I'm drunk, which I am.
It's been planned for a while but today I've been celebrating my divorce. The official paperwork hasn't arrived but I had booked a table for an alcoholic afternoon tea with family and one of my besties... So here I am 4 hours, a lot of alcohol, sandwiches and cakes later. It has been amazing but I have broken every rule in the mse book. I've spent money and ignored everything else going on in my life - still you only get divorced once eh? I really hope I'm not daft enough to repeat the same mistake twice :rotfl:
Depending on my hangover I'll be back tomorrow, however today I am grateful for...
Being divorced.
My amazing family and friends
Being divorced.
My kids.
Being divorced. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Go you, ccl!!
Today I am grateful to live so near to bus routes, for dd having an awesome day, for being able to give someone flowers, for the ironing job being easy and quick, for cheerful neighbours, for a bin bag of clothes handed on to us for dd, for plenty of steps, for making dd's bday cake ready for tomorrow.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Sounds wonderful ccl.
Not a NSD for me as I succumbed to temptation and went out to the shop after midnight. However I only bought 1 kitkat and one ordinary packet of crisp and back on the wagon today. Early on I ate ys sandwich filling with scraps of cucumber, lettuce, celery and tomato (all brought from mum's yesterday - clearing out the remains of her salad drawer) on wraps that have been hanging around on the kitchen table for over a week (I did not get them out of the freezer), just had to rip off the top bit near the opening (hard as nails).
Tea was absolutely wonderful - 2 baked potatoes with a half portion of curry (meant to be a side dish) with jam roly poly afterwards (been lurking at the back of the freezer). Think I have now used up all the salad items (may be some cucumber lurking) so will start on the vegetables - roast butternut squash tomorrow and will prep the aubergine (sorry dolly) if I have time (I like it layered with tomato and cheese sauce).
Bargain alert . I think several of you are cheese monkeys so will tell you that Icyland and Tessimos both have the 550g C*thedr*l mature cheddar for under 3 quid. Well worth buying grating and storing in the freezer.
I have dealt with lots of rubbish, emptied the washing machine (have asked DS3 to spread the 2 sheets out, 1 over the radiator and one over the door as I couldn't), emptied the dishwasher and put everything away and reloaded with a few pots and pans and lots of plastic containers and lids (45 thrown away but could not decide on the others - some have been on the window sill). Suspect there may be others lurking. Have paired off 2 lots - square ones and some heavy duty ones but the others all look the same until you find that lids do not go with containers and there are in fact at least 3 different lots.
Decide it would be too much of a rush to get to the library so will pack up the charity shop stuff ready for Monday. I've 'let go' some cardboard that I was saving and some plastic inserts (from food items) that I thought looked 'useful' for using in drawers. Just started a new paper recycling pile and an electrical waste pile - starting with the stand for the phone that we can't use because the chinchillas chewed through the wire.
Today I am grateful for keeping going despite troublesome ankle and not much sleep, for lovely food and for being able to stop, once i had had my 'treat'.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
