I'll be interested to know how they present it in your gallery as they only have a limited number of drawings each around the country.:)0 -
Hi Everyone.....
Well I'm jiggered......as dear old Aunty S used to say. I have worked myself to a standstill and have just about seized up. :rotfl:
Will I ever learn.
I'm dead chuffed though. This morning I popped into Aldi's to see if they had their usual spring bonanza of cheap shrubs. Bingo. I bought 16.:D The checkout girl asked me if I was opening a florists shop and lots of the other shoppers were chipping in with their sixpence worth. Everyone was laughing and cracking jokes about my trolly full of plants.
But at £1.79 each, they were a steal so I'm very happy with that. Also spent around £25 on plants and summer bulbs in Asda over the last couple of weeks. Much much cheaper than the posh garden centre where my son works. Lol,
Hopefully I shall have a very pretty garden.
Popped into my favourite chazzer and picked up a sage coloured linen per una summer jacket. (a size down). With a bit of luck By the time summer gets here it should fit.
Molly......my diet buddy, where are you. Hope you are ok.0 -

They have to be protected from the light so I'm guessing they will be in a little dark section somewhere, with very subdued lighting, the ones I saw before were.
My niece, who is studying fine art at the university here, went to a special evening opening with a lecture on them followed by wine and nibbles. She's only 18 and she said she felt very grand and grown up. Bless her.0 -
Maman love your comment about nipping out to the shop in cashmere....
I don't know about anyone else but I have a real problem with knitwear.
I can't wear wool next to my skin, so in summer I stick to cotton. Fine in summer but not warm enough in winter. So unless I wear a shirt underneath if I want to wear real wool, I tend to resort to acrylic and similar synthetic blends. Now here's the rub......literally. :rotfl: they bobble so quickly, doesn't matter how much I pay for them.
And it seems to have gotten worse. They don't seem to stay nice for five minutes. I reckon I have wasted a lot of money on knitwear that bobbles. It drives me nuts.
Maybe, when I reach my target I will try just one cashmere sweater and see how I go.0 -
Not lost much this week, but my clothes are looser. I think I need to brave the tape measure and take my measurements. I have some curtains to hand sew so think I will do that tonight.0

Take those measurements. Often (particularly with exercise) you can lose inches if not pounds some weeks and it's very motivating. sugarbaby is doing well losing inches.0 -
maman I have been thinking about ‘one mile wear’. I think the difficulty is balancing the fine line between comfortable and being a slob. Today, I was working from home, so the perfect opportunity to try it out. I think the key is to choose decent loungewear in the same way that you would choose a more dressy outfit (good fit and style). Also, team it up with something a bit more groomed, like a nice hair accessory, messy bun, or light make up. Today, I wore some joggers from Costco, teamed with some Michael kors sports luxe trainers. Last week, I wore my joggers with my UGG Boots, but I felt slobby. Today was the first time I felt good in my loungewear, so I think for me, the key is to have something a bit ‘groomed’ to avoid that.0

Good morning lovely ladies.
Some very interesting thoughts about "one mile wear".
For me it depends on what I'm doing, whether I'm doing dirty/messy jobs like decorating or gardening or whether I'm just pottering about and nipping in and out.
I agree Chanie that sometimes even when we're dressing down it's nice to make a bit of an effort. Often just a few simple tweaks is enough. I think footwear is definitely a factor. I make a point of replacing slippers or indoor shoes regularly. Shuffling round in tatty slippers makes me feel like a bag lady. :rotfl:
However, I have one golden rule, everything has to be clean (even if it's paint spattered:rotfl:). no food stains on my "shelf". It often shocks me when I see people in dirty stained clothing......as for pyjamas in Asda  - have they no pride or self respect.
Weather is grim again so I won't be gardening. I'm going to tackle the back bedroom.......it has the most hideous disgusting pink carpet. God knows how long it's been down. It's got to go. But first I need to clear the space. It will be a big job so I'll pace myself over the next few days whilst the weather does its worst.
Don't really fancy it but it's not going to get done by itself. :rotfl:0 -

Tape measure braved. Oh dear
The weather is foul here today otherwise I would be out fabbing the garden. May be after a little housework I'll pop down to the local county town for some retail therapy. I need to replace a couple of mats ,then I could treat myself to some fav shower gel and body lotion before stocking up on shampoo. I may even find some cushion stuffing who knows.
Have a great weekend all keep fabbing.0
