I tried to find Goks Closet in QVCs schedule and its nowhere to be seen. However I have discovered a book I may download on Kindle for £2:99, its Gok Wan, work your wardrobe. Using the things you already have to create different looks. I'm sure its worth 3 quid of my money.
Maman: I discovered I couldnt sit back on my knees while in the bath the other night without some pain and stiffness in my thighs, so I think I'll be joining you in polishing those walls with my back .:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

Maman. I am seeing the podiatrist on Wednesday. She did say to bring several pairs of shoes with me, so we will just have to see what she comes up with.
Storm Freya is well and truly here. She sounds angry. :rotfl:0 -
Good morning lovely ladies.
Put myself on the scales this morning. Still stayed the same.. So that's it, no more messing. I have just signed up for weight watchers, first session tonight. Wish me luck.
I have to confess I don't like slimming clubs, but they do seem to work when I've tried them in the past. Anyway, I'll give it a go. And of course it's a way of meeting the neighbours.....:rotfl:
It's a bit chilly here. Still rather windy. Not sure whether to try and plant my new shrubs but it might be a bit too cold for gardening. :rotfl: they are in pots so it's not critical that they go in today.
I have have had a bit of a money sort out this morning......what can I say....."could do better". :rotfl: This month will be expensive. I need to pay for a course of acupuncture (I get discount if I pay in advance) and also the building work In the kitchen. Hey ho, needs must.
Other than that I'm doing ok. The freezer and food cupboards are full, I have got plenty of toiletries etc and I don't really need any clothes at the moment. Although obviously I am not averse to snaffling up some charity shop bargains if they cross my path.....
Still need to buy a few more plants and shrubs and I have one more tree on order. Other than that, hopefully no more major expenses for now.
Have a great day.0 -
Weight watchers starts today!:)
I want to stick to it this time. I have prepped salads, fresh salsa and baked tofu for the fridge for quick meals. I've got frozen blueberries and plain Alpro yoghurt for smoothies.
I have got reflexology this Wednesday. I didn't feel bad afterwards the last time I had it so hopefully this week will be okay too.:A0 -

Good luck with WeightWatchers tonight LL and Wednesday.:D
I didn't like the idea of a slimming club either. In fact I still don't really. I hate the mindless clapping going round the group thing. I don't know a lot about WW but with Slimming World it was the easy to follow structure that helped me most. Treats are called syns at SW (it stands for synergy in that treats are built into the plan) and having a fixed number allowed each day/week makes it so easy to stick to healthy eating as the norm and keep treats at the occasional status they should be.
ETA: I remember visiting the Devonshire Dome in Buxton when a SW class was going on in an ante room. It was hilarious as the Happy Clapping kept resounding every few minutes.:rotfl:
I went to M&S this morning to pick up an item DD1 wanted for school. I know I bang on about how much I loathe the place but today was really dreadful. It seemed to be packed out with wrinklies as if they were holding some sort of convention there! The queues at the cash desks were massive so I went off to the children's dept to pay where it was quieter. I did comment to the cashier that they didn't seem to have enough staff on to cope with the influx and she just shrugged.
I looked for the dresses that I'd seen in Delhi but they only had a handful in tiny or huge sizes.I'm sure they'll restock as they're summer dresses and it's only March.
I've tackled my ironing mountain today and at last the basket is empty. Only two weeks since I got back from India!:rotfl:0 -
Hi fabbers :hello:
This windy weather makes me feel grateful that I don't straighten my hair at the moment else I'd be practically pulling it out with frustration!
Weigh in day today to update the app on my phone - good luck everyone with Weight Watchers
OH and I played squash yesterday morning and wow do the muscles in my legs, bottom and arm know about it! I think a long soak in the tub tonight is in order to soothe them a little
Hoping everyone has had a good start to the week x0 -
Hi there all you fabulous folk. Oh my just as I've started typing the sky has opened and dropping large chunks of ice. And since starting that sentence it has stopped...what a country ! I'm getting serious now, I found, in one of my cupboards, unopened, an Active2 personal trainer, which must have been there for at least 5 years, its for the Wii which I still have and still works. It has a heart rate monitor that you wear on your arm, and a resistance band. I got the band out and used it on my arms last night. Today I had an appointment at...yes you guessed it, college. I didnt know what I was going for, its getting that bad, I had a full body scrub and moisturise, precluded by a body toning treatment with the pads that stimulate your muscles. Add to this, I joined an online, free 15 minutes a day pilates class through facebook . That started this morning, one down 4 to go. I know I'm doing too many things and it will likely all come crashing down but right now I'm loving it.
LL if your not gaining your still winning x
Wednesday: your fast I havent ordered yet, hope its good x I loved getting reflexology found it really relaxing, which is odd because I think my feet are ugly and dont normally allow anyone to touch them.
Good luck anyone starting slimming clubs, stay healthy.

A busy day at work today. I'm exhausted.
But I went along to Slimming World and I'm looking forward to focusing on healthy eating and a healthier lifestyle0 -
Morning fabbers,
I’m enjoying reading all your pampering posts and getting ideas.
I’m so excited, only a few more days to new me! I’ve decided after my haircut on Saturday morning I’ll get my eyebrows threaded to round off my new look.
Friday will be a write off after the dentist I think, there’s bound to be discomfort but no pain no gain. I’ll get plenty of painkillers in advance and maybe do my nails on Friday evening.
I bought the no7 microdermabrasion scrub with vouchers so much cheaper and I love it. I’ve also ordered some dermaplaning blades. I’m going hardcore :rotfl::rotfl:0
