Good morning all, the sun is shining brightly here this morning after a cold and damp day yesterday:D

I will start the day in casual attire, need to be warm and fleet of food for the usual market visit (top of a hill and very chilly) and then get smartened up for a visit to mother's residential home to meet with the SW, paperwork to be completed, OH and I are standing in for my DSis on this occasion. 4 out of 5 siblings have met this particular SW and none of us has been happy with her attitude, therefore, my clothes will need to reflect the "we will not be messed with" mood that I am feeling today.

I am thinking black trousers and black cashmere roll neck sweater with a rather lovely Sahara fine wool jacket.

Best wishes to all that are feeling poorly or down, have the best Fab Friday that you can.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)

    Hi

After poking my head in in January, I've been concentrating on getting myself debt free, reading but not posting.

So, here I am back with my next challenge of 'me' :)

Weightloss is the first thing on the agenda and I'm heading back to slimming world on Monday :)

    Hey gals!:A

I'm off out tonight and tomorrow to eat out in London and go to bars. I'm wearing the dress I dyed dark blue with leggings, a black cardigan and my new black boots tonight. I'm going to wear my new blue necklace too.

I'm not sure what to wear tomorrow as it will depend on whether my feet hurt from wearing the boots tonight!:D

I'm going to be stuffing my face with food this weekend but I am going to start Weight Watchers on Monday.:T

    Good morning,
Love the sound of some of these outfits.

Haircut is booked for next weekend. I just realised the no7 coupons are valid until 3rd March so I’ll have to get my lipsticks in advance- no hardship.
I might spend my boots points on a new electric toothbrush but I’m not sure, I won a really expensive one (£300) some time ago but don’t get on with it, maybe I should persevere.
It sounds very ‘dental practice’ it’s the noise that scares me :rotfl:

Hope the appointment goes well Maddie. You're so right about wearing the right clothes to give a message. Posture is important too. It's about acting a part. I used to do it at work all the time!:D

Good luck to you both. I'm not sure that stuffing your face is the best preparation but if it works for you then go for it.:) I'd never really thought much about the psychology of weightloss until recent years when I've met so many people who struggle. I'm convinced the most successful ones are those that decide (and stick) to changing their eating habits permanently. Those that fail or yo yo are those that treat it zealously as a quick fix and then go back to old ways. It sounds really obvious but it happens time and time again.

It's surprising which colour combinations can work for outfits Wednesday. I wouldn't' have said black and navy years ago but I know it looks good. I used to have a dark brown jacket and a couple of matching skirts. They looked great with black too. Have a great weekend.:)

My car has gone in for its first check today. It's almost a year since I had to bother with the dealer and I'd forgotten how the poor customer service winds me up. It's gone in for the first thing this morning so they can do it at their leisure. They'll probably keep it until late afternoon when the traffic to cross the city is chaotic. If I want a 'timed service' then I have to wait some weeks and no doubt pay for the privilege. It's only an oil check !!!!!!! Unfortunately I have to have it done to fulfil the warrantee conditions.

We're out for lunch and the theatre tomorrow so I need to do a shop today. I'll do it on the way back from the car dealer. I'll get dressed on a St David's Day theme today with reds, blacks and greens and sporting my daffodil.

Morning all you lovely fabbers. I do enjoy reading what everyone has been doing , really motivates me ,
Most of my fabbing has been in the house so far this week , Ive tackled every room ( WHICH WAS A BIG MISTAKE) the house resembles an earthquake , but ive got a lot of DH clothes sorted and packed neatly in the cupboards , Have to say hes got far too many clothes for a man ....the Kids always buy him clothes for his birthday / christmas etc , and as he never puts on weight ( DRAT) he wears his clothes for years ? mine next , although ive found a few lost treasures that im enjoying wearing . My DD has to go in hospital march 13th for a gall bladder operation , and ill have her 2 kids here while shes in hospital , and now my American best friend said shes booked a flight and is coming to us march 14th !!! so its going to be hectic , and ive used the spare bedroom ( Her room when she comes ) as a dumping ground for sorting . so its full steam ahead now to get it all done , so im definitely getting a workout if nothing else , BTW Thanks for telling me about the kitchen gym , i looked it up on You Tube and do it every day now , The weather has changed today but while the sunshine and warmth was here , i had EVERY window in the house wide open all day , so the house has had a good airing .

Frankie M & Wednesday good luck with the slimming groups , I used to go to SW but do it at home now , love that one , i get the munchies at night , so plan some sweet treats to eat in the evenings

LL how are you doing ???? Still managing to stick to it , not long till the 27th . Love the sound of your new curtains , Duck egg blue is my favourite colour

Luxury Woman , Have you found any difference cutting carbs ? i really admire you tackling the dentist , Youll look wonderful

32b sounds like you had a great time in New York . Id love to go there one day

SSDD23 Would a shopping token work in the lockers? I just wondered as i needed an old pound coin for a shopping trolley and the token you buy for those works with both old and new pounds if you know what i mean .
When i was tidying DH's clothes i "Earned" £23 in old money , in his pockets , knew hed never go to the bank to exchange it , so i did , Winner

:rotfl: It's my birthday weekend so I thought there was no point starting until next week.

It's true about changing your mindset. I have just ordered a Tesco grocery delivery for Monday and it's all healthy stuff. I even deleted all the junk food off my favourites list so I don't have to see it.:p

Actually the only unhealthy thing is crisps as I still want the occasional treat. You are allowed that on WW.:)

Have a good birthday. Mine's in a couple of weeks. Maybe that's why I find it easy to drink like a fish! :D

You're so right about treats. Wine is my preferred choice. I think that's another thing about crash diets. It's too easy to give up if you feel deprived.

That does sound really hectic moll , having a visitor and grandchildren all at once! At least the house will look fab when it's all done. Don't wear yourself out though. :)
