I didn't officially sign up for Sober January, but I'm challenging myself to not drink for month. My lovely DH bought bottle of Lambrini, he wanted to be nice, but he didn't know I decided to not drink alcohol and now there's bottle tempting me. I'm going for little run soon.

Is the dry January more restricted to age.. for me I feel life is too short to go through a whole month without kicking off the shoes a few times a week ..and yet getting trollied is so far out of my remit now ( 20 years ago I was the one instigating it )
I enjoy my bottle of wine and enjoy the taste , the thought of getting legless fills me with horror now .. there once was a time I thought differently
  • Oh one thing I can excel at, dry January, February, March and so on. Never got a taste for alcohol, I've got vices but I missed that one.

I can't think of anything to commit to on a daily basis for fabbing unless it is wearing mascara. I have the curse of the red heads, invisible eye lashes. Sad really as they are long and thick but invisible. I've thought about having them dyed. I have very dry eyes that get irritated so don't wear mascara every day, I wonder if I'd do better with dye? Something to think about. I need some new nail varnish as well, did my nails last night and the varnish was thick to say the least so that is something when my cold eases up and I go out. With eyelashes and painted nails what could go wrong.

I had my eyelashes lifted (permed, so the lift upwards) and tinted recently. It’s very subtle, but I love the results, as it has really opened up my eyes. I have been told that the results will last 6-8 weeks, depending on how quickly my eyelashes grow. Definitely recommend looking into it. My treatment cost £30 and took about an hour.

Drinking alcohol is not good for figure, I'm trying to loose weight.
  • After getting cold or something like a piano falling on my head today. Why do people spread stuff like typhoid Mary? Oh great!

    Get well soon.......

I have developed a UTI. Fun - not. luckily I have some antibiotics in from when I developed an abscess the day before the Amazon trip and my GP described a double dose just in case. They are still within date so I'll start them tonight. Ive tried the usual self help remedies but I think I need to bring out the big guns.

I hate anti biotics, they always make me feel sick and I usually end up with a thrush infection......hey ho.
  • LL you might need a urine test. I had my first ever UTI earlier this year and they said I had to have urine tested to see which antibiotic would work, apparently some antibiotics won't work. I hope yours does, UTI's aren't pleasant.

If it's the same one I have it is a shocker. I've avoided going out, glad I had plenty in the cupboard, I was supposed to be doing some work tomorrow but I've told them I won't be in. I really don't want to spread this. Hope you feel better soon.
