I fell off the wagon without a second thought :rotfl:

I made the mistake of going to a fabric shop with my MIL and came home with a bag full of pretty wool remnants. They are predominately for a quilt, but I could've put off buying them until I finished another project.

The nappy liners are all done, and the teething pad is cut out ready for stitching though!

Thanks for the link nimbo, nothing like that appeared when I googled it. Maybe if I actually finish the scrapbooks I've got, then I could justify one :D

    Says chezzer.

I was anxious I may not use it - but at Christmas my partners family expect a list of things to buy me. So i added it. I’m impressed with how much I have used it already. I love it. Yay.

  • When I bought it the idea was I would make mini albums of holiday photos. I had previously made a few using other methods but then realised after I bought it that I actually prefer doing 12x12s. I really must look into mindfulness spending.

    83 / 400.

I have taken a load of pens into work and given away lots to people who needed them. Coloured pens etc.

Space wise not a winner but it’s a start. Finished a notebook and chucked a couple of bits away.

Not done anything crafty or fun today I have caught the man flu from my partner. It’s our anniversary. We had pizza for tea it was epic. No dishes.

Hope you’ve all been busier than me. Xx

  • Well done Emsi on finishing the nappy liners and teething pads. I didn't know there was such a thing as a teething pad. Is it for the baby to suck on when they are teething? Much better than the hard plastic soothers they had when my son was a baby!
I am sure I will be falling off the wagon when it comes to buying craft stuffa few times too. Putting me in a craft shop is just asking for trouble!

I hope that you are feeling better Nimbo. Our house has been similarly afflicted. Funnily enough when hubby was ill all catering and cleaning services continued as normal but when I was ill everything seemed to stop!
I took the opportunity to sit on the settee and sift through two large drawers of junk journal stuff. For anyone who doesn't make junk journals it is exactly as it sounds. You use stuff that you might throw away to make journals. So I had saved leaflets, food packaging, wrappings, paper, postcards, cards etc. Of course I am, predictably better at collecting stuff than I am at actually making junk journals. I cleared out one large drawer of stuff and now only have (as Marie Kondo would say) items that bring me joy!
I also threw away an art journal that was disintegrating and quite frankly was terrible !
Finally three craft books and a couple of paper pads sent to the charity shop.

    I am now at 86/200.

    .
Hope I've quoted that bit right- the teething pads are to fit on his baby carrier, as he chews the straps and they turn into a sodden mess! He loves chewing a cold flannel, so hopefully these help too. He has a couple of hard plastic things for the fridge too, but we don't take those out and about with us.
I have made a birthday card tonight during naptime! Hurrah, it's been weeks since I've made any cards, and that's my favourite craft :)

I did really well to resist today. I was in training for work - and we got let out early. I didn’t go back to the office. (I’m probably owed weeks of toil) and managed to avoid going into both the range and b&m for stationery and craft things on the way home when sat nav took me past. Yay.

I then logged on until late. So made up for the early finish. Feeling flushed still.

I have designated a notebook for training. So if i ever need to evidence my cpd I can do really easily and in order.

    84 / 400.

I’m really pleased I managed to not shop.

I have ordered a new paper trimmer. I hope.

It will be free. I have a fiskars trimmer with numbers wearing out and a bar that cuts wonky. I complained. And they have after several emails stated they will let me have another as a good will gesture. I did have to point out that it seemed inequitable that Americans get replacements for faulty products for life and the uk didn’t.

I did feel bad for about a minute. But not long.

I have refilled some ink pens so have used up three bits.

I have lost the bag of bits that go with my sewing machine. So other feet - bobbins etc. Anxious they’ve ended up in the bin or a charity shop bag etc. It had the screw driver thingy in it so can’t change the needle on my machine atm. Gutted. Can also only use certain stitches on the machine until they’re found or replaced. Will not be shopping yet but may need to. Boo.

Also before I realised I’d lost those i bought a t square - and some ink. Spent £16. I’m feeling guilty about that especially considering I may need to buy some feet for my machine. The t square was a bargain and has been needed for ages. Just wouldn’t pay too much for ones I’d seen online.

I really want to make something today. Will just have to manage with the needle in the machine. Haha

I have found the feet. Yay. (Replacements would have been expensive).

I am posting so the next time I loose them I have a good fonfinding them. They are now in the drawer is my sewing table. Whooo whoop. I can change my sewing needle and can also change the stitch.

I hope you’ve all been productive.
