Just to clarify this was the free trimmer from fiskars as I complained about my previous one cutting wonky.... so I haven’t spent on it...

Nimbo, it's great to hear your trimmer arrived. I will remember your success if any of my fiskars products die an untimely death. They're still better than some other brands I've tried, although my paper trimmer is a generic classroom trimmer from a school supplies company! Still doing ok, just needs sharpening on some foil every now and then.Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

Hi All
I am late to the party as I was looking for the thread and for some reason having difficulty finding it. I'm going to aim for a small number of 25 makes (can I include baking supplies as well as I have loads of them as well - perhaps that'll boost my makes). I am hoping to make lots of my Christmas presents this year but have agreed with DH that I will only buy more stash if it's to aid me in completing a project I have started or that will enable me to use up my current stash as well (no buying all new for a new project). I'm hoping to get lots of ideas from on here as well as already sourcing ideas on Pinterest (although I find myself overwhelmed from ideas on there as so many lovely things!)
Looking forward to keeping up with the thread and hearing about/seeing everyone's lovely makes.Sometimes you just have to throw on a crown and remind them who they are dealing with0 -
Squishy love - you can include antlythjng you want. I count anything I make. Baking and jams as well as booze etc. Good luck.
I have been very restrained. I’ve seen posts on line about the Luna lapin book being on offer at the works. Went to buy it. None in stock. I managed to avoid any other spending and when directed to the website they’ve sold out... but I obviously had to check.
I think the fact I was busting for a wee helped me leave the shop with empty hands....
I have nearly finished a pencil case / case for sewing bits when going to crafting workshops it was originally going to be a notebook cover - but I decided I didn’t need anotnore so adapted what it was for....

So I’ve been making.
Completed a notebook. Used up a stack of grid paper and some scrapbook card... I used my cinch so also used a spiral thingy....
For this I used my new paper trimmer. It’s kind of cool.
I had another stack of paper I meant to use up and put them under something so they got missed. Yay.
I’m stuck with the pencil case thing. It’s too small for what I wanted. I don’t know if I should finish or give it up saving the zip.

I need to come up with a few small crafts for a craft group on Saturday.
It will cost me - but I kind of view it as a social thing. My partner is away so I don’t want to stay in all weekend. I will only use stash to create at the day session.

I used up loads of sticker sheets this week. I need to be okay with not having stickers so the challenge is not to replenish my empty collection with more, eeek!0

I am weak.
I popped into pay for my craft session. Then bought a metre of wadding. (Needed at some point soon ish).
I then popped to a separate fabric shop - and I may have bought some flat pins (kind of needed) and a Hoffman dream big panel. The small one. I didn’t mean to. It just kind of happened.

I am impressed with everyone's ideas. Also, Chirpycheap comments-
"I've also not bought a craft magazine since Christmas. They are so expensive and I rarely do any of the projects in them but they just always call my name when I need a little pick me up! "
I only buy second hand craft magazines from the library or car boot sales as they are very expensive and if I am honest I usually get ideas from books or patterns that I buy from Knitting and Stitching Shows. That is why I am determined to use what I already have not buy more!
I can really relate to that! Especially ones that claim you can finish the free gift 'tonight' normally it takes me ages and sometimes I never even finish it because my skill level is so low!0 -
I have a collection of free gifts to make. I’ve even packed some up to take to a charity shop as i know I’ll never use them.
My last subscription to a mag - initially thought out as I wanted the free gift of a sewing machine the subscription was cheaper then the machine on its own. The subscription self renewed and I need to make sure it’s cancelled this time around. I rarely even look at it. Not a good use of money or space.
I’ve been to my craft workshop. I did pay for it but it comes with lunch and meant I got out of the house.
I have basically finished another small hoop embroidery picture. I have also virtually finished a quilted fabric panel. I *think* I want to use it to make the front pocket of a project bag with it.
I hope everyone has been avoiding shops (unlike me) and busy making.
