I have decided to do an inventory of all the big pieces of fabric I have so that I can plan projects I want to do. Also group all fabrics that go together so I can see what I can make. I really want to make a dent on that fabric stash!
Go girl :T:T:T
I daren't make an inventory of allmy craft stash. I'd be there for weeks. I am going to commit to try and tidy up my craft room though so I know where everything isMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

3 Colouring books and an origami book for the charity shop. They were all gifts. They were kind presents but although I am arty I don't really have the patience or eyesight for highly intricate mandalas or origami models!
I made 15 birthday/xmas cards and 20 gift tags made from an assortment of cardmaking leftovers. Whilst the stuff is not technically used up it is now in a form that means that it is more likely to be used up. If that all makes sense!
I had a sort out through my beading/jewellery making stash and I probably should get rid of it all but I am still hoping that I will get back into it. I have sent to the charity shop 9 packets of beads, a beading board, 3 sequinned baubles, a mini storage tin, 3 fimo models and a bag of embellished paper clips.
My total is now 59/200
I am currently turning a huge box of decorative paper scraps into large single sheets. A bit like paper patchwork. I sorted the little bits of papers into colours have stuck them together and trimmed them into rectangles and they will be going into junk journals. Again technically nothing has been used up but it will stop me needing to buy any more papers in the future!
Wow that's amazing progress - well done you :T:T:T
I love the idea of making big sheets out of you scraps. I might well borrow it if I may as I have tonnes of scraps I need to use upMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
I'm declaring another 39 items so I'm now up to 120/2019
I've made lots more sticker sheets, prints and notebooks all for ordersbut I also have to admit that I have to buy some more smooth white 300gsm cardstock as I needed it for the print orders
So already I've purchased some supplies but I did need them -promiseMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

I still need to use them all up. Haha. I have stash for soooooo many more.
I have plans for my craft day tomorrow so I will hopefully be doing some embroidery.
Hope you’ve all been busy.

I've mended pockets on DH's jeans and lengthened 2 pairs of my trousers using fabric from stash.
I've also started a monthly craft class in the village and this week some of us were making pompoms. I used up 4 balls of wool and gave away another 5 balls for people to continue in their own time. I have about 30 balls of wool left; I'm not sure why I've got them as I don't even knit!!!Stash busting challenge 2025: 0/100 £0/£100 Fashion on the ration 2025: 0/660 -

Busted stash. I did buy the hoop last year (for a gift but I ran out of time to make them). I no felt so used Christmas card stock as I have masses of that. I’m just waiting for the glue to dry and this hey presto Christmas gift for the mil’s stickung. Yay.
As such

Oh, lots of fellow crafters, lovely. It is amazing the amount of crafts that are out there and how much they can overlap. I use jewellery making bits and beads in my mixed media work. I also have a massive box of cross stitch that I need to complete.
I may well also borrow the 'patchwork' idea for using up scraps well. I belong to a craft club that meets monthly and I am known as the scraps lady because I have a massive bag of scraps I offer to anyone who says they are looking for a little bit of something!
I have made 4 cards today- nephew, sister in law and friend's birthdays and another one for a colleague who has announced she is leaving.
I think I will keep a tally of my makes as encouragement to use stuff up rather than a target as I will feel I've let myself down info don't make my target.0
