You are not telling us they have the BPA roundel? We DO NOT mean the rectangle.
The NEWBIES thread begs people NOT to post that UKCPM are in the BPA and IPC....it already has that in the Q&A in the first post, begging people not to mention this.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hiya Coupon Mad,
Yes signage has the roundel on it plus Approved BPA operator rectangular bit also underneath..
. As the PCN was for 16th Sept 2008, I thought maybe they’d changed in the last year or so.. as saw another thread saying they were in BPA at some point in time?
How does Roundel change things?0 -
What?? Over eleven years ago?? Detail is important. As the PCN was for 16th Sept 2008...
As can be seen here, UK Car Park Management Ltd have been members of the IPC Accredited Operator Scheme from 1st October 2015...

Whoops,
Should read 2018!!
Thanks for info re IPC.. had looked them up and seen that they were members, however have been unable to find anything on them being BPA members even though their signage said so...
Am concerned how this may affect my defence as, their Code is slightly different to the BPA’s, spent last night going over it, as they only allow 21 days to appeal, not like the BPA’s 28 days (recommended)
Though don’t see how if BPA roundel is on their signage how I can be expected to apply IPC Code to my defence when it isn’t mentioned, though I could add this after the BPA points on my defence..
Have been unable to find any info other than the current BPA members as of recently to know wether they CPM (UKCPM) were members of the BPA in September 2018, can any one help with this please?0 -
Check the IPC website and look at the date they joined the IPC AOS scheme , it's that simple
Nearly all parking companies are corporate members of the BPA , but only those on the AOS list follow the BPA CoP
Those on the IPC AOS list have followed the IPC CoP since their inception (accreditation start date) date quoted with their name (they cannot be members of both AOS schemes , only one)
The logo shapes etc have been discussed to death on here for several years , plus the regulars here are telling you those facts , some members get tunnel vision on this topic, so in simple terms it's
If the PCN was issued after the date of the PPC inception on the IPC AOS members list , then the IPC CoP applies , simples (so 2018 is IPC CoP compliance where the accreditation date is 2015)1 -
Are you saying the IPC roundel is not on the signs?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just checking @OP:-
you made a post #18 on 20.5.2019 to which Umkomaas replied:-
"As this thread is about a UKCPM charge, extending it into a different charge and quite different operator (Horizon, who are members of an entirely different ATA) you really do need to start a brand new thread, otherwise this one will get very messy, especially if UKCPM (the country's most litigious parking operator) almost inevitably issue court proceedings against you at any time up to six years following the parking incident."
just need to be 100% sure the signs you say only show BPA are for UKCPM1 -
Hiya Grandad1505,
Yes am 100% sign says BPA only with roundel, and no mention of IPC at all,..
Any suggestions on my evidence here? As a lot of what I prepared in my statement applies to BPA membership and it seems the IPC rules are slightly different... so for example my mention of 28 to days to lodge an appeal.. I did it within 28 days (as PCN I found very confusing at the time says 21 days to appeal) BPA CoP says 28 days recommended and IPC says 21 days...
Would it be wise to do a complete rehash of my statement now and cut out all the BPA stuff, or just add to it and plead ignorance of the fact that they are members of the IPC and not the BPA (as stated on their signage)
Wondering if the best way perhaps might be to leave all the points in about the BPA and then mention other points from the IPC as there is the IPC logo on the PCN, and say I was unsure as to what organisation they belonged to, leaving the real truth of the matter until if it went to court, and say I had since done some digging and it had come to light that their signage is completely wrong!
All help gladly appreciated.. as feel it’s unfair for a layperson as myself to be expected to know that what I’m being told on their signage re BPA membership is completely wrong!!!0
