Whmf used to live playing out and do did both sons.

203 - suit holder binned as in very poor condi.
204- 206 three metal racks recycled
207 some photos. I wanted to throw an entire album out but DH said no. It had pictures of his sister as a baby with other family members. He hadn't see sister in 31 years. My suggestion of keeping a couple didn't go down well.
208- 209 more work catalogues recycled.
    210-211 plastic holders
    212 card shredded
    213 more paperwork shredded

    Not bad for before 9.
Hopefully more will be done today.
  • Morning all!
Well done on everyone's decluttering efforts !

Pixie Lottie hope you start to feel ok soon, sorry it's been a tough week but sounds like some great decluttering efforts there ...good luck with the desk!! :)

Cherry fudge -definitely better to declutter than just read about it ( *says she who has often spent an hour or so reading stuff then feeling virtuous without lifting a finger to declutter :rotfl:)

Happy kitties -hope the cats demands were fulfilled! ;)

So .....what progress here? ...... This week have filled another bag for charity shop , and have a second lot of stuff which needs to go through a wash first as pretty dusty! Recycling all done this morning and a piece of furniture we don't use promised to a friend ( though not yet our of the house!)

There are 2 particular spaces I really want to get sorted but need hubby on board as a lot of it is his stuff to move/sort. I have had a couple of conversations but progress is slow although I do notice some stuff has definitely been sorted/put away! Little steps ...

I just think it will feel so much less stressful when everything has a place ....some rooms do bit others...stuff builds up on desks/floors/the spare bed that just never gets put away ( or chucked ...being the other option!) I just don't think it stresses hubby out in the same way ( in fact I'm not even sure he notices! ...:rotfl:)
MF planning for the simple life :j
  • Good Morning!

I woke up to 2 sales.

177-179: 3 items sold, 50 euros in the travel pot
    1st goal: 0/936 euros
    2nd goal: 0/15160 euros
  • Warning, post of shame coming up.

I've mentioned before I have downsized twice in the last three and a bit years and decluttered both times, heavily.

    Yesterday I got rid of:-

1 PC tower (I had absolutely no idea I had it, it was still boxed from the shop).
183 DVD's. I don't own a DVD player any more as I stream anything I want to watch.
    1 Cutlery canteen box
    1 File recipe cards
    1 Buckaroo to my DGD

    Shame declared :rotfl:

I've ordered the floating shelves for the kitchen and the bracket to put the TV on the wall. This will free up some space and allow me to get rid of the TV unit. They are being done on Wednesday.

My bedroom now only needs a dust and vacuum and is done. I'm going to put up some pictures today and that is the end of the upheaval from the renovations. I will admit, I didn't think I'd ever get to this point and it's a lovely feeling.

Blowing a hoolie here and chilly, stay warm and safe all.

    27. Papers into recycling
  • Just parcelling up 14 'neutral' items which will be shipped out Monday.

The problem I have is getting boxes. Did stop at Tesc@s this morning to see if there were any but wasnt lucky however things I have been scraping together for the parcels will mean packaging can be counted in my Monday total plus 4 more items out of the house with the neutral items.

Downshifter the cat kept walking all over my tablet and I'm sure trying to post before I had finished the post! :)

Decluttered eldest's old school shoes into the bin as they've now been replaced.

Going to do some sorting out tomorrow....hope to clear my kitchen out completely next week and then I can make a start on my paperwork and boxes of 'stuff' in the loft after half term. That's the plan anyway.

  • I've run out of little tacks that hold the picture hooks. I have all the pictures up in the kitchen and it looks homely and colourful again. I'll order some tacks and get all the other pictures up in the rest of the house next week.

Decluttered some polystyrene and caused my carpet to look like it's covered in snow, that will be decluttered with the vacuum soon. Found two Christmas sacks that will be relocated to my DD later today. I've also found half a dozen books I am happy to pass along. I also found two strong bags for life, that has made me happy as my DD is always pinching mine.

I am avoiding a box filled with wires and electrical 'things' such as heaters and other small bits. As no one wants them they need to be disposed of. Why am I avoiding? My bins full! :rotfl: I have a large box full of green bin rubbish and it's going to have to stay here until the bin is emptied next week. I could take it to the tip but I'm warm, it's windy oot there and I CBA if I'm honest. :D

Going to vacuum up the snow, make a coffee and cuddle on the couch. Roll on Spring I say, brrr.

A few more items for the homeless from DS2, he doesn’t wear them anymore so asked if I could put them in “my box”;)
DS2 made the most yummy pancakes this morning for us all..
    Happily decluttered said pancakes :rotfl:

I want to get in my shed, its sooo in need of a clear out.. Rain stops play :)
Ooh well.. an afternoon of naps and reading it is then.. :A

White_Musk No shame.. Be excited that you’ve finally decluttered them:T
I’m sure we all find items that have escaped the cull at one point or another.. I know I have a few in my nest of doom (shed) determined they will go this time round!
