Had a day off yesterday from decluttering as I went to Dad's to do some cleaning for him. Saying that I did declutter his fridge by slinging some well and truly OOD items...... I'm surprised he doesn't get food poisoning . But he's old enough " to know what's what " apparently ( he's 90 this year )
Anyway I'm back to the photograph sorting, only 1 more box to go through and a large carrier bag of them for burning. There's me thinking it would be a quick job too
Keep up the good work everyone :jFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

I was thinking of getting rid of my gold wedding ring when I lose weight as it was second hand and I might replace it with a new silver one.
I doubt it would be worth selling it as it only cost £40 from ebay in 2006?
Yes, it's definitely worth giving it a go.:)
Low iron after your period is another migraine trigger, according to my GP.
LOL!
I have sold all my unwanted gold and silver on Hatton Metal Gardens. They have a calculator on their site so you can weigh your ring and find out what it is worth on there.0 -

Wednesday2000, Well Done on decluttering toiletries :T I bet it is making the bathroom look tidier every time you finish a lotion or potion & dispose of the packaging/bottleRe the wedding ring, if you don’t want to sell it either on e*ay or to a jewellers as scrap, you could donate it to the CS.
I suppose I could do that.:AI have sold all my unwanted gold and silver on Hatton Metal Gardens. They have a calculator on their site so you can weigh your ring and find out what it is worth on there.
Oh thanks. I might look into that.:)0 -
Sorted my bags off the allotment last night. I got rid of a lot of rubbish and I have all of my stuff in two strong bags. One is my 'library' and one my seed bank. I am ready to start sowng now and am relieved that it is done.
That pile of bags and clutter had been looking at me for weeks and I was a bit afraid to get started.

I can safely say I am a trendsetter no more, rather an [STRIKE]ordinary[/STRIKE] mainstream member of society. In other words, my wardrobe saga is over, it's upped sticks and moved into my bedroom. I bet you're all so pleased to read that. :rotfl:
This morning DGD came to visit, she is a whirlwind two year old who I simply adore but has energy levels an Olympic athlete would covert. :rotfl: Therefore nothing was done this morning, this afternoon was emptying my room as friends were coming to move aforementioned errant wardrobe. It ended up as a nightmare as it's huge and bl**dy heavy. They left and I made my bed and got about half of the stuff put away before I collapsed with coffee and haven't moved since.
Tomorrow morning I'm going shopping, just in the village and having dinner with DD and DGD. In between I will get the rest put away. I have 'almost' reclaimed my home.
Decluttered:
5 Jackets
1 Coat
! Duvet (another 'spare' I didn't know I had )
1 Dressing table
1 Welsh dresser
1 coffee table
I'm tired! :rotfl:Feb 2019 GC £151.53/£300God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, wisdom to know the difference.0 -
1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE
The wind died down :T so the walk to the sm was absolutely fineMet all my goals so F*tb*t happy :rotfl: Posted some letters, did an sm shop - bags too heavy to walk home, so got the bus. DH had some hm soup for lunch before he left for opticians & then to meet ex colleagues for a few drinks. Five hours drinking  so taxi home - he was falling down drunk as he actually fell through the front door when I let him in  but at least he is so drunk that all he wants to do is sleep :rotfl: rather than be garrulous & amorous
Good job he only goes out once or twice a year
- he forgets he isn’t in his 20’s anymore so cannot drink 2 gallons of beer in an evening :rotfl: He is still my hero though
I forgot to have lunch, so had hm soup & crusty bread for dinner - means the 2nd half of my curry will do for tomorrow’s dinner & DH wasn’t hungry when he got home so he has curry as well
DSis will have to fend for herself :rotfl:
