You have no idea how pleased I am that I am not the only OS eejit. :rotfl: T'will all be worth it when it vacates my sun room and toddles off into my bedroom where I can fill it up with stuff I can't find another home for. :rotfl:
Tut, course my clothes will be going in there too. :rotfl:Feb 2019 GC £151.53/£300God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, wisdom to know the difference.0 -
1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE
Tuesday has been mostly dry but started drizzling about an hour agoFortunately I have only had to walk 250 steps in the rain :rotfl: My F*tb*t is happy with me
met all my daily goals :T
The hm soup was zizzed & is delicious  Probably enough to last to the end of the week :T
DH made a trip to the Tip - dropped off stuff previously listed. DSis has had a long soak & has done her washing. I have pootled about - bit of paperwork, cooked a scrummy dinner - veal escalopes in herbed breadcrumbs, with boiled potatoes & loads of green beans, bit of knitting & psyching myself up to start a decluttering project
243 - 245 Two plastic takeaway containers & 1 plastic lid - binned
Now for round two of cheerleading :rotfl:
Well done, aimeemum, lots of big stuff out :T Admire your empty spaces
White_musk, Well Done on filling your recycling bin :T & good luck with the wardrobe
choille, Well Done - that is more than one a day :T It will take time to notice a difference, but here is the good news, you are now ‘seeing the clutter’ & doing something about it :T & please do not forget that the clutter did NOT build up overnight :rotfl: it took timeso it will take time to declutter
Onwards & outwards :T
MadamMim2013, what a difference a week makesLong may your Ma remain in an upbeat mood
Perhaps she will realise that more gets down with honey than with vinegar :rotfl: A very successful decluttering session :T & hopefully your Ma is starting to change her mindset
chupachups4, Well Done on continuing to bring in the pennies. Could DD3 supervise, DGS let go of one/some of his toys, DD2, her BF & DD4 release a few items of clothing or be persuaded to help with the cleaningDH is let off as he is working on the ‘busy bus’ - I love the name
Keep up the good work everyone

Good morning all. I'm going to declutter some sad looking veg into soup today. My DGD is not a fan of veg but likes soup, so... I'm wondering what I could declutter into me for brekkie. :rotfl:
I can hear the bin lorry so my bin will be ready for me to fill again soon. I am now box and bag free in the living room, I do suspect there is at least one box of kitchen stuff in the bedroom of doom as (thankfully) :A the iron is still missing.
Off to make some more hot coffee then have my shower. it's freezing today, bundle up warm everyone. :TFeb 2019 GC £151.53/£300God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, wisdom to know the difference.0 -
I haven't posted for a while but have continued to read everyone's successes - thank you all for sharing, and thank you Mrs SD for keeping us all motivated.
Had some help to start going through my bookshelves (can't reach the higher up ones) and have sent 4 books off to CS so far and read another which I will keep for now. A brand new veg peeler also to CS. Some more papers gone, an old road atlas into recycling along with a couple of out of date leaflets.
Total out since I last posted - 31.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Hello everyone,
Been a while since I last checked in!
MrsSD - Hope your DH is ok! I've got 2 crowns no idea how he managed without anesthetic!! I'm yet to have a dream about decluttering but I'm sure I will! I want to declutter everywhere haha. Even at work or when I go round peoples houses I get the itch haha.
Cranky - I have 3 drawers of doom :eek: one of them is the typical wires draw the others are just random carp that I will probably never use!
Wednesday/White_Musk - I get the mirgraines with the aura too they are horribleand can take weeks to fully recover from. I recently got my daith pierced to see if that would help.
Still decluttering, more stuff to CS and resisted the urge to buy some curtains. I was looking at them for ages and wasn't 100% sure and did the "spark joy" test in the CS (haha people probably thought !!!!!!....) but they didn't spark joy so back on the hanger they went!
Am trying to declutter my cleaning products atm went a bit hinch crazy last year so have all sorts when all I really need is a few products so once I've used all them up I won't be buying any more!
Paperwork is the next thing I am going to make a start on. I'm off work Fri and DS is at nursery so I might do it then.
R.e. the parkrun would I be able to take DS in pushchair is there is one near me? I need to start doing some more exercise!

My husband decluttered his bag this morning as it had a massive hole in it. He borrowed my rucksack as it is unisex but it is a bit small on him.
It's small on me too. It's Swedish so I assume they are thinner over there as my husband weighs less than 11 stone!:Dchocolatelover93 wrote: »

Oooh, please let me know how you get on with this because I'm thinking of having it done. The HT and I both have aura type migraines. The doctor has given me sumitriptan now that migralieve is no longer available. Sumitriptan is nearly as bad as the migraine - I have to go to bed once I've taken it.0 -

I gave up with Sumitriptan as I find it nearly as unpleasant as the migraine. I didn't find it effective enough to be worth the side-effects.0 -

Yes you can take your DS along in a pushchair. Take a look at the Parkrun website to find out where your local one is. It will tall you a little about the course too e.g. flat, paved. I really can't recommend parkrun enough. The atmosphere is lovely, everyone really is welcome and encouraged. It's a great community.0 -

Will doI've only had it done a month. I've had a few headaches but they've actually not been as bad as they were and haven't lasted as long so fingers crossed!
I was on a beta blocker for mine but come off them when I was trying to get pregnant with DS and not gone back on them as hated being on them. I usually take a high dose of co-codamol when I have one and just go to bed. They're horrible though if I have a bad one I'm sick and dizzy and can't stand the light
