Good morning all,
A good start today,
80-82 - 3 books sold on Ebay (2 of them for more than I paid for them)
83 - another plastic figure belonging to the HT also sold on Ebay
It's housework day today and I have to go to the post office later to post the things that I've sold but I will be watching for decluttering possibilities. I also now have a big plastic crate that some of the HT's figures were in (there were 2 crates and we're now down to one) so I'm taking that upstairs to house some of my wool stash. It'll be tidier and I can see what I have as the crate is clear plastic.
Have a good day all of you0 -
Yesterday's plans didn't get done as i was exhausted from the day before. Must learn to pace myself.
Anyway this morning I've been doing my PIP application. I know it's probably pointless but I will swallow my pride and try. If I dont get it I'm not sure how I will survive after the ESA debacle. Oh well.
This afternoon I'm going to do the car/stairs plan from yesterday. The car is beyond disgraceful.:o:eek::rotfl:

Houston we have a problem - well maybe Houston doesn't, I certainly do!
New wardrobe has arrived and due to my room being cluttered with bags and boxes, and the wardrobe being bigger than I remember (don't say a word anyone :rotfl: ) the wardrobe is now in the sun room.I need to clear out my room then have it moved. I need to clear more room than I thought due to my spacial unawareness :rotfl:
I have unpacked three more boxes and seriously chastised myself, the carp I keep even with such limited space is ridiculous. Anyway, from three boxes one has been refilled with junk and will be binned (it really is that bad).
I can't believe I still have as much junk as I do even after two downsizes and major clear outs. Anyway, it has now gone and I really am going to be extra ruthless sorting out my bagged and boxed up bedroom that won't be bagged and boxed up once I get the wardrobe into the room it's supposed to be in. Having a huge wardrobe in a sun room is not a cool look.
I also need some floating shelves for the kitchen for some ornamental items I do want to keep.Feb 2019 GC £151.53/£300God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, wisdom to know the difference.0 -
Good afternoon all
Managed to take a wok to my daughters today that had been sat on my worktop since i had got my new one :j
DD & SIL are staying with me for the next few months whilst some building work is done in their new house( DD is 6 months pregnant) they are only moving clothes in so i have been busy clearing drawers and hanging space for them.
I cant believe how much better it feels to have de cluttered different areas of my home.:D
I read on here about putting at least one thing in is correct place when you come across it and that has really worked for me.MAKE £2022 in 2022 no 29 £2022/£434.10

Quick pop in
238 - 242 Five mini hangers (from DSis) into CS bag
Now for some cheerleading
chupachups4, I was almost rightVery brave to have cut over half your hair off  Mine is past my waist in a plait
& I don’t think I will ever be brave enough to have it cut
What a marvellous adventure to look forward
. 7 of you  in such close quarters  Are the other ‘travellers to be’ also decluttering & raising funds?
MadamMim2013, a week :j see, even the weather was on your side :rotfl: I applaud your decision to do less :T & we will hold you to it :rotfl: your fellow declutterers do NOT want to see you so low & run down againWell Done on the decluttering as well :T
CRANKY40, Well Done on your sales :T especially making a profit :T & I like that you have repurposed a crate having emptied it first :rotfl: Your Decluttering is going so well & raking in the pennies as well - long may it continue :T
parsniphead, tiring yourself out by doing too much - However I do understand, you start a task & get so engrossed that you forget to stop
& then you are on a roll & you start a new task :rotfl: So today please pick one or the other of your intended tasks
& if you ‘must!’ do both please have a long rest in between
You have been told :rotfl:
White_musk, you could start a new trend - wardrobes in a sunroom :rotfl: Maybe not :rotfl:you do NOT need to chastise yourself
I think we are probably all guilty of what you have described
Last year I finally emptied a tea crate that had been languishing in the garage for almost 20 years  from our last move  Fortunately 2/3rds of the contents were suitable for the CS :T & the rest was ferreted away into drawers & cupboards of Doom
never too old, see you are ‘never too old’ to learn something :T - nice that we can share ideas & pick & choose what will work for usNice when one of us can confirm & provide evidence of the benefits of decluttering :T It spurs us all on to continue with the decluttering even when we are feeling down or thinking it will never end
Thank you, never too old, for reminding us that there is light at the end of the decluttering tunnel :T:D
See you later
MrsSD

I think the new fashion for wardrobes in sun rooms is spiffing MrsSD. I mean, who wouldn't want to follow my new fad? :rotfl::rotfl:
Recycling bin is chocca block - woo hoo. It gets emptied tomorrow, so that's brilliant timing. More in the bin, less in my very fashionable [STRIKE]house[/STRIKE] sun room. :rotfl:Feb 2019 GC £151.53/£300God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, wisdom to know the difference.0 -
Thank you MrsSD for cheering us along our path.
A big pan to CS today & a sale on ebay posted so that was good although not a lot it's away.
I guess I must have gotten rid of at least 50 items by now although looking around it's hardly noticeable but onwards & upwards.0 -
Thank you Mrs SD your cheerleading always brightens my day
A good day was had:j Ma was in an upbeat mood, chatted, sorted a few things indoors (appointment changes etc) then we approached the shed... She has indeed put some work in, and today slowly with gentle encouragement we almost filled the rubbish bin again & managed a boot load to the tip:T.
I proved to her that I wasn’t expecting her to clear everything out and that I understand some of it (tools, etc) has sentimental value, that said she realised that some of the stuff would be better off being USED by someone instead of rusting/rotting in the shed..
Another bag of shed items made up for the charity shop:j
I also took home shoes and items for the homeless, a large pile of knitting mags (a lady is collecting tomorrow:T) and a huge pile of nicotine patches some of which are unopened.. No idea what to do with them.. could I offer to the homeless shelter/food bank?.. not sure but they weren’t cheap and don’t want to waste.. thought about taking the unopened packs back to Mr A’s (from where they were purchased in the last 3 months) and see if they’d refund??
White_Musk I love it when the recycling bin gets emptied.. I know that it means less hanging about in the house/shed!;). I hope you get the wardrobe issues sorted.. :rotfl: I too get overzealous about sizing and what might fit where.."There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇0 -
