Hi everyone, looks like we are all still doing well. A small step taken forwards is a step in the right direction (so my nana used to say)
It’s been a busy few days, the last carpet to be done ( in DS’s room) is now down, beds in place & waiting for the single matress to be collected..:j I’ll then just have the 2 bags of items for the animal shelter to drop off at some point.
I want to go through my wardrobe again and be really brutal..
Keep going peeps.. it’s worth it :T"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇0 -
A box of jars from the shed taken to the bottle bank.
More plastic containers recycled.
A pair of joggers binned and a dress in the charity bag.
Slowly, slowly........0 -
Back to report that both tall shelves have now gone to their new home. I had them in the camper van and was almost expecting the recipient to change their mind.
Also in clutter clearing news. I finally sat at my dining room table to eat with my family on Sunday as it has now been decluttered. Next stop is the sideboard.....:TWife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Yes, same here. I found a jumper that is totally unflattering in there today so that will be donated to a charity shop as it was bought new.
I'm going to look through every item again while I'm at it.:)0 -
Hello all :hello:
The decluttering has continued :j. I reckon in the last 2 days I've done at least 365 items .
Today DH and I went through our caravan stuff and the bottom and the top shelf of one wardrobe. ( yes we have 2 wardrobes, both choc-a-bloc) There are now 2 bags ready for charity, mainly miscellaneous items including vases, car sun shades, coat hangers ( they seem to have bred
), a set of curtains and my late Mum's knitting bag, still full of needles ( she's been gone 5 years next month ) and the list continues...... Also ready for the cs is a suitcase full of clothes. Dh's shirts, trousers, jumpers and a fleece jacket which are all now too big for him as he's lost weight. I put in several skirts, tops and two dresses both only worn once. One dress which I wore to DD's hen night and the other to her wedding over 10 years ago . I also put in the matching shoes ( also worn the once ) and a pair of deck shoes, which I've never worn as they rubbed my heel.
There is a bag of stuff gone in the bin too. A filter jug ( now replaced ) several large vacuum sealer bags which no longer seal and a miriad of other bits and bobs. I found a new apron and oven glove set that I had forgotten I'd bought and have sent the old ones to the bin. I also found myself a brand new cardigan which I didn't know I had and it still had the label on it. That was a good find as I have been looking for a new one as a replacement to an old binned one which was way past it's SBD :T
MrsSD what have you started ? :rotfl:Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
I listed a few items on a local FB group for giving away free stuff this morning and the nappy bin has already been taken (I gave the same person a few baby sleeping bags, a mobile and a couple of baby books when they arrived and they were happy to have them). Someone has asked for the stair gate and said they'll be along later today to collect it so fingers crossed that'll be out of my house today as well.
I've made a really good start on the dining room and thrown out lots of random bits of rubbish and recycling among the way. Still plenty to do but it's so much better! I can see I need to cull some more books as the bookshelves are just too full but that's for another day.
Every little thing that leaves the house is another bit of clutter out of our lives. Keep going!0 -
I found a scarf, two tops and a book that can be decluttered too.2025 GOALS

I decluttered a kitchen cupboard last night whilst cooking dinner, and left the things I don’t want on the side for binning. OH came home from work and when he dried the washing up, put it all backWill try again this eve lol!
