49/52 - cleared mantelpiece of some very old and varied cards to make way for any Christmas cards.
50/52 - used up a very old and not my cup of tea soap, just so I wasn't wasteful! Glad it's done.0 -
Post Christmas clear out well under way here!! So much rubbish cleared (bin was emptied on Monday and is nearly full - luckily next door is now empty but house is not going on the market untill late January - so I am able to utilise a 2nd bin as long as I put it out). We have a couple of large boxesfor the charity shop! Don't tell hubby I have been getting rid of the stuff we have been keeping for years as it may come in handy!!
have found better space for essentiall Iterms just by decluttering and getting rid of stuff. We have purchased a shoe rack today which sits under the coats in dead space in the hallway and gives us more space than the big box full of shoes!!
The top of the boxed in cupboard that houses the meters has been cleared of rubbish (a few small items have been stored elsewear)and as a result we have been able to get our printer off the floor and stored in a better place, with suitable containers for stationary and an old mesh magazine holder (destined for chazzer as unused) for paper.
Lots more decluttering needs to be done!! But that's a job for the new year .. I will start to declutter wardrobe and cupboards next year as I know I can clear space - butt that's a job for next year along with the garden!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0 -

Thursday was a mostly rainy day but during one of the dry periods I saw the most gloriously bright & fully formed rainbow 🌈The kitchen fridge/freezer has been restocked with most the items from the garage fridge/freezer. However I decanted various sauces/pickles etc into smaller pots & played safe by binning ood fresh egg pasta, another ood salad dressing & an ood pot of mascarpone
DSis did meet her friend @ 10:30 a.m. so I was pleasantly surprised 😯She was out until 3:00 p.m., had a burger for lunch & she & her friend talked the hind legs off a donkey :rotfl: Unfortunately I missed the recycling chaps - so will give them their Christmas boxes next week
DH & I finished the hm soup for lunch. DH left about 5:00 p.m. & arrived home about 11:30 - the leaving drinks were a bit of a misnomer as his ex colleague has been persuaded to stay until the end of JanuaryDH had a great time as there were only 8 of them, so perfect sized group to sort out the world :rotfl: DH was was only slightly tipsy but very chatty when he got home - mostly about our holidays - winter sun (3 of us) in January & our motorbike holiday (DH & I) in May. I did not leave the house to buy a pressie for DH - shame on me
Sadly our Boxing Day trip to Kent is cancelled - DH’s niece has broken her shoulder
Also received the news that his nephew’s future mother-in-law passed away - she had been ill for quite a while but I think it was unexpected
4766 - 4774 Two drinks cans, 2 glass jars & metal lids, plastic pot, plastic lid, uu squirt cream can, 2 x cardboard packaging - Recycled

Well I have made some progress here today, although you would be forgiven for thinking otherwise if you saw the state of the house right now!
I have:
- dropped off DS old clothes with my friend for her son to grow into, it was nice to have a coffee and catch up with said friend too
- taken loads to the household waste centre, including big box of batteries (going to try hard to use re-chargable next year), tacky/broken christmas decs, cardboard and filing stuff that was in the loft
- sending an old CD to a friend in America, it is one of those hard to get hold of and said friend was distraught hers got stolen out of her car, I happen to have a spare copy so have just packaged it up
- also took some old electricals to waste, including printer and iron that somehow were cluttering the house
- tonight I am listing DS old games console for sale as it is doing my head in and he might get £40 for it0 -
633-637: CD's to the sell pile.
638-643: 5 TV series decluttered by deletion.
644-645: emails deleted and a bit of a Facebook cull.
Right, it's off to the wheely bin I go...‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Friday has been a dreary day intermittent dry spells amongst the heavy downpours. DSis & I went off to the Chinese Medical Centre - I felt wonderfully relaxed after my session. We then did a small sm shop before returning home in the rain.
Dinner was pasta bolognese which was too spicy for DSis - so she has vanished to her room - probably sulking
4783 - 4787 Three drinks cans, 2 x cardboard packaging - Recycled
4788 Bag of kitchen detritus - Binned
Excellent work never too old :T Your mission should you choose to accept it - Keep clutter out
