Tuesday has been another mixed day weather-wise - occasionally dry but mainly overcast & rainy. DSis spent the day in her room, as did DH.
I did one load of washing & drying. Sorted & cleaned the 2 shelves in the lower larder + emptied one of 4 shelves in the larder.
Dinner was lo beef warmed through in gravy, mashed potatoes, last of the cauliflower & broccoli, & carrots.

Now please do not think me completely bonkers ;) but I stayed up all night to catch the ‘bin men’ as I was expecting them early ;) They do such a good job that I like to give them a Christmas box :) *Unfortunately or maybe fortunately* :rotfl: they arrived about midday. The envelopes were accepted gratefully with the comment ‘makes a change from being sworn at’
Because they turned up so late it gave me the opportunity to finish emptying & cleaning the larder & rearranging the contents when I re-stacked the shelves + I sorted the Br*xit cupboard & the extra cans located in a couple of the cubbyholes in the dining room wall unit :T
Whilst DH went to the sm, I emptied the kitchen fridge/freezer & had enough space to relocate the contents into the garage fridge/freezer :T The kitchen fridge/freezer has been switched off at the plug & is now defrosting - it is really badly iced up, so hoping another couple of hours will see it completely free from ice 🤞 Then dry freezer, wash & dry freezer boxes & give the fridge & shelves a really good clean :p
DH & I have a bowl of hm soup for lunch & DSis had a steak slice heated in her microwave. Meanwhile I am still knitting scarf no.15 :D

4740 - 4746 Two small plastic pots, 4 x cardboard packaging, glass jar & metal lid - Recycled
    4747 - 4753 Uu biro, 4 x plastic packaging, 2 ood bottles of salad dressing - Binned

Well Done short_bird :T - way too cold to stay outside & if you go into a shop you feel obligated to buy something :p

Well Done never too old :T & very generous to donate your excess tree decorations :D

Might see you later my fellow declutterers :rotfl:

    Hello All,

I hope we are all getting organised for the festive period.

This year is a quietish one for us as stepchildren, their partners and our grandson will be in Spain with their Mum and stepdad.

I am looking forward to the break, but also a little deflated that we won’t see them for over for a week.

    Decluttering is ongoing

2105 - TV sold on FB for £50
    2106 - 2107 Cardboard boxes to recycling
    2108 - Polystyrene to tip
    2109 - 2114 - cans to recycling
    2115 - bottle to recycling
2116 - 2119 toilet roll inners to recycling
2120 - 2121 used up shower gel and conditioner to recycling
2122 - 2236 - various taps, plumbing parts and pipes to scrap merchants
2237 - wellies returned to grandson
2238 - 2246 - Christmas presents delivered to their recipients
    2247 - 2262 - unsubscribed from emails
    2263 - 2395 - deleted emails

Before I go I would like to issue an award

Freezer fully defrosted, wiped down & dried together with the baskets + the fridge & shelves etc fully cleaned & dried down. Switched back on - isn’t an empty fridge/freezer one of the 7 household wonders :rotfl: Only a few items in the fridge at the moment - milk etc. The rest is in the garage fridge/freezer & it is pouring with rain :( so can wait until tomorrow :p Couldn’t be ‘arrised’ to cook so takeaway curries for DH & I but Chinese for DSis. Added advantage is that tomorrow’s dinner is sorted ;) DSis is in the bath as she is meeting her friend tomorrow morning @ 10:30 a.m. can’t see that happening but I may be pleasantly surprised 😯 DH is out for leaving drinks with one of his ex colleagues - someone he actually likes :rotfl: I may sneak out & buy a pressie for DH ;)

4754 - 4764 Two drinks cans, glass bottle & metal lid, 7 foil cartons, bag of DH paperwork - Recycled
4765 Bag of kitchen detritus - Binned

    Ticking over nicely Barny1979 :T

See you tomorrow when I hope to be starting on scarf no.16 ;)
