:j Welcome back Picklepot :T Nice to see youI just lost a long post & as I have a memory like a sieve this 2nd post will not be as good :rotfl: but here goes
Remember all that hard work you put into decluttering the spare room? & the warm glow you got when it was completed? You should be very proud as you have been able to help someone :T & because of that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️
I know from experience that if you have a very specific goal in mind you can move mountains of clutterso to get you started, your last post (2706) is on page 136 and you had a nice round number of 300 items out :T
Thank you Picklepot for concentrating my mind - Hopefully we are both re-energised & can start on a big push to declutter our homes
Looking forward to reading your tales of success

Saturday was another dry day but noticeably cooler than it has beenTemperature wise I think we are in for a wintry autumn
Laziness all around this morning
DH didn’t go out & I didn’t have my long soak
We were all a bit more productive in the afternoon
DSis vacuumed all downstairs; I peeled & chopped hg horseradish + peeled & chopped sm ginger. DH continued with his flat iron project. DH & I then spent time in the back garden - emptied the green plastic dalek (which DH cut up & will take to Tip tomorrow), levelled the ground with the compost & laid plastic slabs then put the 2 new compost bins in place; emptied the contents of the twin tumbler composter & used some of the contents in one of the new compost bins; wood was sawn & bagged for use in a garden stove - temporarily stored in the other new compost bin; put a climbing plant obelisk around the silver birch (25th anniversary present from my lovelyDH
) to encourage upward growth
; stack of bricks moved apart from one layer which is now the base for the horseradish pot; green waste bag filled with cuttings etc ready for council collection; small rubbish bag filled with general garden rubbish; swept the patio & watered the garden.
DSis went shopping & DH did a small sm shop. Dinner was shop bought pies, mash & mixed vegetables.
3152 - 3162 Glass bottle & metal lid, 5 drinks cans, foil tray, 3 lots of cardboard packaging, plastic bottle - Recycled

I decluttered a lot of stuff at the beginning of the year, via charity shops, and sold some stuff on Faceb*ok Market Place, and Vintage C*ash Cow.
I've chipped away all year, taking odd bags to the chazzer, took one yesterday.
I've tried to buy more from charity shops as well - I've had some lovely stuff, some clothes still with the store tags on, also some lovely crockery.
Also, I've made a much admired cushion cover from a charity shop cardigan, I'm pleased with it.
I'm now wondering whether to try and sell a dress that has only been worn twice for weddings, or just chazzer it. I bought it from the Heart Foundation. It's a H*use of Fr*ser Linea, it still had the tags on. £79 reduced to £19. I don't lead the sort of life where I routinely wear dresses like that so it may as well go.
I've sold stuff before on market place and I had no trouble, but I know people can mess you about.0 -
CS can get a bit addictive - well that's my problem. Too many 'bargains'.0

Good morning everyone. Not much decluttering done here this weekend, but there will be LOTS done today.
First full week back at work, and I'm shattered so much needed downtime was needed instead.
Friday I got a phone call from my dentist surgery to say that my dentist had phoned in sick do I'm in rescheduled to get my tooth removed this week instead. Thankfully I've very little pain now, so another couple of days is ok now lol.
I went into town yesterday afternoon to get a few bits and bats that needed fine so I have today free to get stuck in!
I returned a pair of shoes that I'd ordered online for work, but they weren't comfortable when trying on, and I'm on my feet all day comfortable shoes is a must.
Bought my 1st Christmas present yesterday, do that's been safely stored away, and I've written a note on my phone to remind me where it is :rotfl:
Plan for today is to break down lots of boxes we have lying around and put into recycling, if the weather stays dry I'll tidy up the garden and remove and bin the many weeds that have appeared this last month:eek:
Go through the MANY reusable bottles we have here and put some in the recycling bin as we've far too many now and time to let some go, instead of holding onto them for the "just incase" scenario that will never happen lol.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
Have put on local FB site 4 items for free and have listed some of my collected paperweights () for sale at £1 each. Really loved them but just must get rid of some of them. Lets hope they go as did not on EB.. I am trying honest.0
