AWw... thank you Mrs SD for my lovely welcome back
Truly honoured to receive my gold star , had never thought of it like that , my clutter clearing enabled me to offer out that decluttered room. They will be bringing plenty of stuff with them it will fill another room,a new room of doom and another challenge :rotfl:
Thanks too for finding my clutter tally , i tend to only list things that are truly hard (like the paperwork ) so a real sense of achievement when i see the current 300 total.0 -
paperwork a real challenge so..
301- post dealt with on arrival yesterday (yay)
301-302 mildewy mat binned from kitchen
302-311 - 9 OS maps to charity bookshop box
I think my clutter is getting to me.. im a poor sleeper and when i lie awake i imagine inside my cupboards and drawers and how many items can go:eek::rotfl:0 -
I've dropped off for quite some time, eek, as life got busy! Good to be back, although my first post is a frustrating one.
31/52 - a car item sold and posted however I mucked up the postage and it ended up costing me money  the only solace is that's one more item to leave the building. I've hopefully also learnt my lesson!0 -
1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE
Sunday was a lovely sunny day & a bit warmer than it has been. DSis & I were lucky enough to see 3 hawks wheeling about high up in the clear sky over Canary Wharf :T
My only decluttering was weeding alongside the new front path whilst DH did a Tip run & picked up some gravel. Later DSis swept sand into the joins in the brick front path. DH & I planned out the surround for the flower bed - have placed the lo bricks to see how it would look. Looks wonderful so DH will be levelling & then cementing them in place over the next week or so. I also cleaned all the stainless steel in the kitchen. DH & I had hm soup & hm croutons for lunch (enough left for my lunch tomorrow :T), DSis made herself a sandwich. Dinner was a full roast beef dinner & very yummy 🤤 it was too
3169 - 3176 Glass bottle & metal lid, 4 drinks cans, cardboard packaging, plastic tray, food can - Recycled
3177 - 3178 Coffee tin full of kitchen detritus, small bag of weeds - Binned
Well Done :- TC77 - “chipping away” is an excellent way of describing the decluttering challenge :T; short_bird, cluttering pennies :j; ScarletRibbons - one Justin dress is allowed :rotfl:; Barny1979; whmf00001 fingers crossed 🤞; Picklepot maybe you can count clutter flying out the door rather than counting sheep to get you to sleep :rotfl:; :T:T:T:T:T:T
Nice to see you Rootle :j RL has the habit of getting in the way of decluttering :rotfl: Hope you weren’t too out of pocket
Happy decluttering everyone
MrsSD

First full week back at work, and I'm shattered so much needed downtime was needed instead.
Friday I got a phone call from my dentist surgery to say that my dentist had phoned in sick do I'm in rescheduled to get my tooth removed this week instead. Thankfully I've very little pain now, so another couple of days is ok now lol.
I went into town yesterday afternoon to get a few bits and bats that needed fine so I have today free to get stuck in!
I returned a pair of shoes that I'd ordered online for work, but they weren't comfortable when trying on, and I'm on my feet all day comfortable shoes is a must.
Bought my 1st Christmas present yesterday, do that's been safely stored away, and I've written a note on my phone to remind me where it is :rotfl:
Plan for today is to break down lots of boxes we have lying around and put into recycling, if the weather stays dry I'll tidy up the garden and remove and bin the many weeds that have appeared this last month:eek:
Go through the MANY reusable bottles we have here and put some in the recycling bin as we've far too many now and time to let some go, instead of holding onto them for the "just incase" scenario that will never happen lol.
Well Done IrishRose12 :T apologies for not including you in my main postJustin can be a right pain :rotfl: but will bump your numbers up when you boot him out :rotfl:

3 pairs holey undies to ragbag
Found some euros in note form and have sent OH off to exchange them. We're not planning on going abroad for a while so no need to keep money tied up.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Yay had put my old tumble dryer on line Free, and man came and collected it today. Been in small outside cupboard for about 4 years but was not rusty of anything. Now THINKING of getting rid of my electric masage chair and stool. Was good for back massaged before I had new hips but do not really need now allthough will only have my chair and small 2 seater for guests so may have to get a chair, will see. Spoken with gardener and he is looking to sorting out shed for me (he is a handyman too. Trying to move towards a move within next few years - maybe,0
