  • So much going on that although I took photos of items for Eb.. I have done nothing with them yet but am starting to feel the urge to de-clutter again. Found 3 hair bands which I very very seldom use now hair is short and want to complete the sale of Mum's china etc, have a new box to put rubbish in for either tip or wheelie bin, so gradually getting the urge again and I will be pleased. Have made a start on putting seeds in numerous old plant pots but it has been a bit cold so have put a plastic box over, greenhouse style, as they are outside - no room in house, just a few lettuce/radishes oo and cougettes. Doubt they will do any good but I like the idea of growing something even if I only get a couple. Satisfaction.

Morning, all! Time to carpe diem...
    157-162 6 magazines to recycling.
163 A lovely poster that was, sadly, printed with a very smelly ink and the smell pervaded the entire flat...
164 I got rid of a small non stick frying pan that sticks
165-171 An epic shopping fail where I ordered far too much, didn't check dates and didn't fancy cooking... :o
    172: easter eggs... :rotfl:

I have been decluttering a tad too far - oops

563 - Took roof bars that have been sat out front of house since before Christmas to the tip, but should not have done. I thought they were broken but seems not as they are for our current car. Raced there to get them back, but had already been moved into the bigger biffa bin so unretrievable

Good news the roof bars were not the ones I was told, OH is grovelling as he has found the ones for our current car in his pit, the garage

    Yesterday was much more productive

590-612 Old sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases to charity bag
613-614 2 bath mats to same bag
    615-647 Unwanted towels to friend
    648 Holey boxers to bin
649-651 Worn out dog toys to bin

Airing cupboard looks fantastic without all the clutter

    Have a good weekend all

Tried to stick to fruit and veg that I actually have plans for -
thought of you Greenbee :) - three fresh and four frozen.

    'Urgent' wine run later on:

Glad to be of service :D However, I'm concerned about the need for an urgent wine run. This is something you should really maintain decent stocks of at all times!

That's good news gilly - I don't suppose it's inspired him to clear out the garage? I'm finding it a lot easier to locate stuff and know what I do and don't have since clearing mine out.

Nothing major going on here. I've got a pile of old laptops, ipads and phones on the dining room table that I need to wipe and dispose of. I might get a fiver or so for some of them, so should do it sooner rather than later.

Hello all. Sorry to have been MIA lately, but I have had a busy week running around.
However we had a new recliner chair delivered this week so we have dismantled the old one, we had to as it was too heavy to move . DH wanted to keep some of the leather as he has a project in mind, but the rest is in bits and ready for a tip trip.
This morning I decluttered the dust from the upstairs, a thankless job as it will be back before you can blink :rotfl:.
This afternoon I have been in the garden and I have rid the honeysuckle of lots of invasive ivy. I now have 2 green waste bins full and ready to go put for collection on Tuesday. I love the new shoots of spring, but everything seems to have grown so quickly, even the weeds :(. Sadly I had to put my Mother's day flowers in the bin too and I have some daffs that will follow either tomorrow or on Monday.
I received a cs bag through the door today and it's already full :j. Who'd-a-thunk that I would ever be really happy to get one of those through my door :T. I've also parted with a jumper that I was umming and ahing about for no reason.
Tomorrow DD, DGC and my Dad are coming over for lunch and tea, so there will be a lot of food decluttering being done, especially by the DGS :D. At least my freezers will no longer be groaning and I will be able to see what's left in there :rotfl:.

Thank you to everyone who posts on this thread (especially MrSD for starting it ) and for your continuing encouragement, motivation and support :A.
Hugs are on the way to anyone who is in need.

  • well i have forgotten to keep track of what i have decluttered the last couple of days so moving on from today, not worried about hitting my target as there is so much rubbish in my house i could probably declutter twice the amount.

21-29 uni paperwork (bundles of ten pieces, all sent to recycling, nature of my course plus my inability to be able to concentrate properly when reading off laptop means i tend to print things off, feel bad about it but make sure i either pass on what i print or else ensure that it goes to be recycled)

must remember to track what i am getting rid of :rotfl:

Hmmm found all my old folders in the shed the other week.........probably time it all went, I just remember all that hard work and fun times!! :o

Well found 5 items of clothing of eldest son who has moced out, and gleefully made him take them with him......then visited a friend who decluttered about 10 items of dog stuff onto me :o:rotfl: I'm not going to look at this as a fail - son's clothes were clutter nobody was using, and the dog stuff will come in handy when I get to race them ;)
