Sorry to hear about your sister, bit by bit. Sending a virtual hug.

Mrs SD, when I find a good cauliflower soup recipe I will pass it on. I am probably going to try either delia - frugal foods or see if there is a recipe in my Covent Garden soup recipe book. BBC good food also has a recipe.

Made homemade pizzas today and we have decluttered (used up) salad and cheese from the fridge.

Put aside two paper bags (flour bags) to use for food waste. I am trying to reduce waste / use things a second time as well as decluttering.

    Chocolate box recycled.

Wrapped up a present fro recycled tissue paper and wrapped it in a recycled bow.

Bit by Bit, so sorry to hear about your loss.

A Frayed Knot, welcome to the thread, good luck with your decluttering.

The big bookcase, now empty, is due to leave today. A big milestone, very pleased although a bit sad I had no interest on Freegle so it’s off to the tip. Other bits going with it include the broken fire pit which rusted through 2 years ago and is finally leaving today.

    Happy decluttering everyone!

Sorry for your loss bit by bit. Take care of yourself.

Three things posted yesterday & a big bag of stuff to recycling bin.

I must get back on track later today or this week and concentrate on one area as I'm not focused at all.

  • So very sorry about sister. As I am approaching the last few years (hopefully another 20 or so but you never know) I have started de-cluttering so that things will be easier ofr my children when the time comes.
A book of knitting patterns collected week by week many years ago went this morning and I was so pleased as the lady who had it does clothes for premmie babies so that was an extra happy feeling.

Monday was yet another lazy day as the weather was awful - rainy, windy & cold  My F*tb*t is not happy :( DH finished the beef which I braised in gravy with mash & peas, DSis had sausages, mash & peas & I had hm soup
Monday has started lazily again - bitterly cold so heating is on :o

whmf00001, it is always a fine balancing act between emptying your freezer & keeping stocks up :rotfl: Re the SM, good luck with its last chance ;) Well Done on starting to ‘declutter’ your gs’s ‘hoarding tendencies’ :rotfl::T What a lovely way to declutter a lovingly collected set of knitting patterns :heart2: Even I got a warm fuzzy feeling :)

Well Done GreenQueen :T what a busy bee :D. I :rotfl: re the Chronological Random Ascending Pile - so true :rotfl: A set of saucepans given away :D how many sets did you have :rotfl:

chupachups4, hope DD3 is OK now :) Decluttering DD4 :rotfl: I always try to have fresh milk in the house - not sure if it is just psychological but I prefer the taste :) Well Done on selling 37 items :T - I hope they were large items so that you cleared a large space ;)

So sorry about such sad news, bit by bit  I echo Happy Kitties sentiments - so well written. A horrible & stark reminder of why we should all declutter. Thank you bit by bit, for being brave enough to share such tragic news. My condolences to you & your family.

Well Done on the decluttering Ginmonster :T A special Well Done on using alternative resources to dispose of the bags of clothing :T I know it gives us all a warm glow to hand deliver items to the CS, but sometimes circumstances are such that it is not possible & it is really just a case of getting the clutter gone :D

Welcome A Frayed Knot :hello: Those of us on the ‘Decluttering Bandwagon’ appreciate new declutterers :T I :rotfl: when I read how you got sidetracked at page 7 of the thread :D I am going to write that on a large piece of paper :p & bring it out when I decide on my next decluttering project :p I know they are only trying to sell you storage but I think most of us probably have plenty of storage that just needs the contents rearranging :rotfl: I definitely think that the Cosmos is trying to tell you something :rotfl::rotfl:

Gem-gem, Well Done on getting a 2nd use out of packaging :T Keep up the good work :D
