DH did try to keep a couple but they were doublers, so he didn't have a leg to stand on :rotfl:. I even went out last night and burnt the lot . He did offer to do it, but then they would be hanging about and I'd have to start nagging :rotfl:.
Nothing much will be done for a couple of days as the DGC arrive tea time tomorrow for a sleep over and stay all day Friday as their school has an inset day. However I might be able to get DGD involved in more toy/book decluttering. Hopefully she will do it herself, then that will be ok by me too :j.
Apologies if my post is a bit disjointed/ nonsensical as I seem to have brain fog today.
Happy decluttering allFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

This morning I used up old hair dye. I have my hair dyed at the hairdressers every eight weeks, when I have it cut and straightened. I dye my own hair inbetween saving around £220 a year.
Hubby has seen how much money I have made selling books and cds and with a little encouragement from myself has jumped on the band wagon -woo hoo! So another two parcels have been made and our cupboard which holds books/ map etc will now close properly.
Two cardboard boxes and paper packaging up-cycled.
Free DVD cases - recycled. The cds are going to be turned into bird scarrers - to be placed nearly berry bushes.

Intended to do some general tidying and cleaning up today. Instead I created more mess!
Whilst looking for notification letters of upcoming medical appointments, I got 'in the zone' and worked my way through two storage boxes of letters/ bills/ statements/ receipts from the last few years.
I am now limping the last mile of a 26 mile marathon sorting through twelve years of accumulated paperwork!Coughing/ wheezing/ sinus headache from the dust, but worth it.
Decluttered: Two bagfuls of paperwork and card boxes/ envelope folders (all damaged) to the communal recycling bins. Several plastic document wallets (baggy elastic) to the dumpster.
Recluttered: Small quantity of mixed detritus deposited back in the 'hall of shame'.
GreenQueen: Ditto with the pens and various types of tape. I have also reunited three metal tape measures, two cans of silicone lubricant spray (~WD40) and three tubs of carpet deodoriser powder.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

What is it with DD and DH - DD is my secret ally .
Read an article today about clothes waste and am even more determined to cut back on clothes buying even from charity shops.I am also using the mantra - something like if an object can be replaced for little money then out it goes. I am starting with the cardboard boxes that DH hoards, sorry, stores in case we need them for parcels. I loathe seeing them stacked up in the spare room, so out they go. I don't think he will even notice.0 -
