I had to scroll back a few pages to see when I last posted and as suspected I missed a month.  When my dd goes out on Monday I will be on 90%  :)

  • Hi all, hope you are all well. #62 sold somethings, had some gifts for my birthday, cancelled my little holiday and saved everything as I am not really well at the moment. I am up to 3050. But realistically need to increase my target to 6k please, cookers on its way out, washer dying, need a new bed, bedroom carpet needs changing two operations pending but I'm determined to reach target by this time next year and look forward to a more secure future because thing look set to get a lot tighter. Thank you for the encouragement.

I hope you start to feel a bit better and have some relief @FreedomBringsPeace. Your EF is a good amount and you’re doing well. You’re over 50% of the way if you do decide to increase your target. And you’ll feel good knowing that you’ve paid for the replacement of those items yourself. My EF is off to a a fledgling start, but I’m hoping to beat my goal of £500, then increase it to £1,000 and go up in increments of £500 until I have £7.5k set aside.

Another £200 added to the pot.  When I started this, my target of £6k would only last 3 months in a financial disaster but 50% of it represented mortgage payments and I have since saved a decent mortgage offset fund so it now represents 6 months - happy days 🥳

That's amazing @triple_choc_chip about your mortgage fund and your EF being able to stretch for double the time 🤗.

My emergency fund updates have been non-existent, but I'm finally checking in...

    #65 with a balance of £362.28.

I should definitely reach £500 target by 31/12/2022 😁. Then I can increase the target for next year.
