Sunlight fortunately isn't something that any politician has any chance of affecting, or we'd be in real trouble.

Apart from the fact that many of them seem to think that sunlight originates from one of their orifices

Saw this today - I wonder what the SNP's view will be?

EU meddling in internal affairs as usual.
And why exactly does Switzerland use eastern European Time?

The current standard rules were created by the EU - using the practice of March and October changes already in place in the UK and Ireland.

The current rules were our rules - which they enforced on the rest of the EU.

I think the changes make sense - as long as we move to BST all year.

The US state of Indiana is split into two different timezones - Scotland and England could easily do the same.

I'm pretty sure that in the US some cities have suburbs in different time zones because they're across a state line.

I noticed that their news programmes would tell the time by saying it's half past the hour without naming the precise hour.

There are some people advocating we just all adopt the airlines universal time and scrap all time zones.

I've figured it out, anything is fine as long as we're the ones "dictating" it to everyone else. Everything is inherently bad if it's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Not_invented_here

Someone in Brussels has run out of things to do again. Expect a load of silly rules to come out of there. One of the good things about Brexit is that our taxes will no longer go towards paying then to think things up that no one wants.

The british government will need more taxes to do what the EU does and we have a history of doing even sillier things. It looks like we came up with the idea anyway. https://services.parliament.uk/bills/2010-12/daylightsaving.html Quick you better change your mind that it's a great idea and the EU is just copying us!

But at least it won't be foreigners telling you what to do. You can rock back and forth in your chair repeating that.

Your prejudice is apparent, although I'm hoping for your sake you're just trolling

Can you imagine the outrage from brexiteers of we essentially moved to CET?
It'd actually be pretty handy for business

I don't need to imagine it, the country is full of unreasonable outrage.

The drain on mental health services will kick in soon.

    BST all year for me.
I remember the "experiment" in the 60s. Much better IMHO.
