Saw this today - I wonder what the SNP's view will be?

EU meddling in internal affairs as usual.
And why exactly does Switzerland use eastern European Time?
As long as the SNP can put Scottish Time Zone in front they will be ecstatic. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said "Clock-changing must stop. Member states should themselves decide whether their citizens live in summer or winter time."Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0

Even better, it's because (surprise surprise) the study that led to the change was dominated by Germany with 70% of the input.
No wonder we voted to leave.

It's interesting that Russia tried not changing the clocks, but then reversed their decision.0

My sincerely held grouch with this change of clocks malarkey is that every Mothering Sunday we do the ladies out of an hour's kip.
As a secondary thought, all coats held out for schoolchildren should have at least 10% high visibility material on the back. It would improve the survival rating travelling home unnoticed by motorists.0 -
Would there be any benefit if we shifted the hours on the clock by say 4 hours. Called the time we woke up 10AM so we all had a "long lie in". Wander into work "late" at 1PM, put in effort and feel worthy at having a late shift and came home for a late supper (10-11PM like currently in Spain) and "stayed up to the small hours" going to bed say 3-4 AM?
Like that place in the US that wanted to swap the names of February and August to make everyone feel it wasn't too hot or coldThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

You could just get rid of time zones altogether, then we wouldn't have all this nonsense of what time it is in another country as they are all the same time. Of course you'd have to know what time everyone else was working, but not everyone works 9 to 5 already.
More people would have shifts that straddle two days & more people would have days that weren't periods of daylight book ended by darkness, which causes a political issue as every country would want to be the one where their concept of a day was still true. The UK seems to be the biggest snowflakes, so we'd probably argue for using GMT0 -
Oh yes true democracy in action (EU version) : not "choose yourself" but "choose permanent summer time or permanent winter time".
Even better, it's because (surprise surprise) the study that led to the change was dominated by Germany with 70% of the input.

Sunlight fortunately isn't something that any politician has any chance of affecting, or we'd be in real trouble.
No deal puts clean running water at risk & if we really mess them about then we get power cuts.0
