Well lve done my freezer inventory and l don't need any chicken this side of Easter. I've managed to successfully make my first soup in the soup maker : parsnip and apple very tasty can highly recommend xCount down to retirement 20230

I made half the quantity as l didn't want to be inundated with soup and it has made 2 large portions
This is what l used :
2 parsnips
1 Granny Smith apple
1 onion
1tsp of cinnamon
500ml of veg stock
Chopped the onion and saut!ed it, chopped all the other items and put everything into the soup maker with the other ingredients and set to smooth.
And like magic l have a nice looking and tasty soup. Normally mine look terrible and taste the same lol xCount down to retirement 20230 -

Shattered after work but still made dinner rather than nothing or takeaway:j

My first spend day of the new year, I needed milk, butter and bread, £5.61 spent. I will be doing a food shop on Saturday to do the following 10 days or so.January 2019 Grocery challenge £93.41 /£240
2019 savings £48.69/£3000
Loose 42lbs in 2019 2.5/420 -
Went shopping today at Ald! and spent £51.28 so am on £58.08/£40 so I went over this week
but have a fridge and cupboard full of healthy food

Hi everyone,
still haven't spent anything from GC budget. Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the food I have in the house plus lots of goodies I have been gifted over the festive period.
Planning a menu of very simple meals for the rest of the month.
