With the snow that’s forecast and me losing enthusiasm with the sale, I will be giving it a miss this year.
Hope you all get what you have got your eye on.
I'm another one not going either!
Family are sick of receiving smellies as gifts.
I've enough toiletries to last year's.
So good luck to those braving the weather.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -
Good luck to those heading out tomorrow. I’ll keep an eye on eBay see what gets loaded, always the fun part of the boots sale:money::rotfl::T0

It has definitely lost the buzz if they have to wait until Feb to reduce it to 70%.
Sainsburys you hardly see any Christmas stuff after 2 Jan - this is non foods stuff as well. The only Christmas thing now in the store near me is a Christmas baby gro for up to 3 months for £2. They rather see a loss in sales, get their Christmas stuff out of the way asap and customers are in the frame of mind to buy reduced items as for things such as wrapping paper, people have their decoration boxes etc accessible.
There is nothing worse than seeing a shop with Christmas stuff strewn into a corner from end of JanThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Don't think I will bother as have an important hospital appointment had planned to try and do both but with the snow the hospital is more important0

Am outside my local Boots now... there’s 7 of us and some are not here for the sale! It’s flipping freezing I’m not bothering going elsewhere if they don’t have much in here.0

I happen to be near a large store this morning so might pop in to see what they have.0

Liverpool edge Lane was horrible, nothing on shelves worth having and loads with full trolleys blocking the Isle, including one man who was on the phone standing in the middle of the Sale stuff so no one could get pastt, saying it wasn't worth bothering with0

A total spend of £9.75! Happy to get £5 off No 7 though as I rarely spend £5 + in Boots these days.
Princes Street Edinburgh had loads of stuff. Opened at 9am, I wandered in at 9.40am, as the temp was -7 when I woke up - I wasn't rushing to go out! I had done a reccie yesterday and saw what I wanted - a Ted Baker men's set for DH and some Disney socks and slippers, plenty of all 3 left.
Noticed that there was a lot of Sanctuary left, but this was going fast - almost everyone had one of the big boxes. Left the body stuff alone as I still have previous year's bargains in the house. Thought about the Sanctuary box but I just don't need it.
Very busy but polite and only saw one person going mad (unlike previous years).
There was masses of Little Mix, Millie Mackintosh and Kylie (Jenner not Minogue I assume!) left - even at 70% off it looked like no one was touching it.
My Boots Sale strategy has changed over the years - I no longer go mad and stock up on as gifts as everyone had enough 3 or 4 years ago so I just by for me and DH to use now. I use No 7 skin care, so bought the things I really wanted on 3-4-2 + bonus points and raided the shelves after Xmas for the 50% off. All No 7 skin care was gone our way by the New Year (though the make up remained).
Its a shame its no longer the 'Event' it was but as others have said, its the same old stuff year in year out at twice the price of other shops.
Hope everyone got what they wanted.0
