  • I will be off tomorrow morning, really hope Meadowhall has plenty of stock as my smaller local one only has a couple of aisles left! Hopefully I won't have a wasted trip :) Hope everyone manages to get some bargains!

With the snow that’s forecast and me losing enthusiasm with the sale, I will be giving it a miss this year.

Hope you all get what you have got your eye on.

I know when you divide it all up it’s not a great saving or bargain , but the main ‘pull’ for me going each year is it’s a one stop shop ,, get it all in an hour and bang this years stash of birthday extras and stocking fillers is done ,,, because of my work Christmas shopping is a nightmare for me ,,, so I can sit back and know all the little extra bits are done ,, I always get a few bits for me ( candles and s&g to use day to day )
I’ve got £100 on points ,,, so that’s going to be my limit :)))

    Yeah that's defo an advantage.

I also buy bits throughout the year just as and when I see something, so when it comes to Christmas it's mostly done other than foodie stuff. I do usually see a few bits whilst browsing the High Street that I still end up getting though but most of the hastle is already taken out of it.

I get a few bits on 70% day as stocking fillers if I see anything suitable, or to breakdown into little gifts but it's mostly stuff for myself. I don't even really need to bother with stocking filler stuff tbh this year though as trying to run my stash down.
  • I'm giving it a miss. There was nothing I wanted other than some Jack Wills stuff and I'm at a funeral in the morning so cannot be there when the store opens at 8.30. I'll just have to go after the funeral and see what's left. If everything has gone so be it.

I think the fact that it has dragged on so long has caused me to lose interest and the £50 I would have spent tomorrow has been spent on better bargains at other shops.

Let's all meet up next year on here and see what happens. Good luck to those of you venturing out tomorrow.

I think you're right about the interest dwindling due to the delay, Ive felt the same. It's defo been quieter on this thread than in previous years too.

The thread was up to about page 25 by this time last year. I too have spent my pennies elsewhere in other sales now.

This time last year we were gearing up for 90% ;)

I couldn't help myself and went for a look earlier today, I'd say about half the stock has sold in the last 2 weeks so from that very small example, it's probably paid off for them delaying it. There isn't a great deal of much use to me, I'd like a soap & glory make-up set but nothing in particular apart from that. So I'll be there but with lower expectations and a much lower budget :D

On the plus side, I checked out TKmaxx and picked up some sanctuary candles while I was there so I'm actually sorted for this year in that regard.

I'm another one not going either!

Family are sick of receiving smellies as gifts.
I've enough toiletries to last year's.

So good luck to those braving the weather.

Good luck to those heading out tomorrow. I’ll keep an eye on eBay see what gets loaded, always the fun part of the boots sale :D
