Had a good night at bingo and collected 5 little gems which are safely potted. All plain. Haven’t seen a ‘special’ one for ages! Also won enough to pay for my car MOT and service at the end of August so that will ease things next month. Going again on Sunday - let’s see if I can be lucky again 😀

Good luck for Sunday. Hope you have another sizeable win.

GemGem -we also grow most of our own soft fruit. The white currant and black currant bushes have gone absolutely mad but we only had a total of 4 red currants for some reason.

Also keeping a keen watch on our two gooseberry bushes as we never seem to beat the blackbirds who get them first every year. We are loathed to put up netting but think we will have to next year. We pick raspberries right through till after Christmas which is fab for us!

Have been picking raspberries and blueberries today. Have nearly finished picking the blackcurrants. Have one bush that seem to ripen after all the others. I was lucky this year, a cherry tree two gardens away has kept the birds away from my fruit this year. I am also loathed to net it all.

  • Hi, potted 1 coin today - a Charles Darwin one ( I think … ??)
Counted my haul a few days ago - nearly £100. Will be happy to reach £200 by Xmas as I use if for Xmas presents - here's hoping...

Just back from a week away camping! Had a fantastic time and thoroughly relaxed (shame to go back to work tomorrow).

Have securely potted 5 little gold gems, mostly sourced from the onsite shop, on my return so I'm now up to 216.
