£2 Savers Club for 2019

  • Just spotted this thread, I'm on my second pot of saving £2 coins, started in November 17 and it's about 1/3 full.
My previous one took about 3.5 years to full, when I cracked it open I had a huge £962 which bought a new lap top and covered the childrens Christmas presents.
The next one hopefully to open in 18 months will go towards a much needed holiday.
I've been given about 6 in change this week, one of the benefits of using cash rather than my debit card.
    Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

    Make £2024 in 2024...

Hi, just to say, not received anymore £2 coins since 15/6/19.

Total for 2019 saved is therefore still £42.
  • Hi all, I've potted 4 more coins this week all received in my change. All are plain Dx

4 more for me this week (2 on Friday and 2 yesterday). All safely potted. I have bingo tonight so I'm ever hopeful that two more will be securely captured which will bring me up to a nice round £200 :j. Only time will tell!

Welcome to the £2 savers challenge. £962 that is impressive.
Hope you manage to fill the pot in less time.

Seven £2 coins potted in the last two weeks. Have been busy working during the day and then in the evening picking and freezing / jamming fruit.

Had a good night at bingo and collected 5 little gems which are safely potted. All plain. Haven’t seen a ‘special’ one for ages! Also won enough to pay for my car MOT and service at the end of August so that will ease things next month. Going again on Sunday - let’s see if I can be lucky again 😀

GemGem -we also grow most of our own soft fruit. The white currant and black currant bushes have gone absolutely mad but we only had a total of 4 red currants for some reason.

Also keeping a keen watch on our two gooseberry bushes as we never seem to beat the blackbirds who get them first every year. We are loathed to put up netting but think we will have to next year. We pick raspberries right through till after Christmas which is fab for us!
