Can I be told to come in early?

@unforseen he’s not offering me a way to go home early, he’s telling me to come in 1.5 hours before my usual start time so I can go home 30 mins earlier.0

@farmer Johnson our company is offering a bonus of £0. I don’t know why people on this forum are such idiots that think the boss can say jump and I say how high. I go to work at my usual time daily, do my work, go home.0

Good luck with the new job op0

OP - as you are new to work, you may not be aware that for the first 2 years of employment, you can be dismissed without the company having to give a reason. And that is legal (apart from some protected characteristics).
So be flexible, do as you are asked. Or it may come back to bite you in the future.
And I do sympathies, I'm on some fairly heavy anti-depressants which cause issues with sleep. But if I have an early meeting, I get in to work on time. If I have a client visit, I get in early. Lots of strong coffee is a short term fix0 -

Is this just one day in the year that you are being asked to be a little accommodating? I don't know how old you are OP (I suspect very young), but by golly you have SO much to learn. I hope you have a job after Christmas, but with your attitude I suspect it won't last long.0
