Gatwick Airport: Drone sightings trigger disruption

Was the "sighting" actually confirmed - if nothing genuine - the last confirmed sighting was yesterday morning at 10am
That concerns me !0 -

I agree
Bits of drone would be light and wouldn't cause damage to the airport !!0 -
Just read online that two people have been arrested for ''the criminal use of drones''. Let's hope that they get severely dealt with by the court. Don't hold your breath folks.0

But they have already cancelled flights in on Saturday - including Barbados, so have they caught the right people ?0

Those aircraft for the cancelled flights “in on Saturday” would have been outbound U.K. to Barbados flights on Friday and those aircraft also displaced from disruption from Thursday.
The airport and airlines have said it could take days to recover the situation to normal.0 -

Don't understand what you mean. Are you suggesting that a known ineffective 'solution' has been applied with the effect of making the patient feel better. What is the ineffective solution? Who is the patient? What was the effect?loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0
