    Hi all

I am looking for a website which summarises funds recent gains, or losses. Likewise for shares.

What would be ideal is something with colums that can be sorted by, and ways to filter the table of results.

I found the best table I could on L&G website:
    http://www.legalandgeneral.com/investments/fund-information/fund-performance-table/

However, this only includes their funds, and not shares.

Anyone have any favourite websites for analysing the data in an comprehend-able way like that table from L&G?

    Cheers, rich

I've been using SVS for 6 months and had no problems. You don't get comparative data at a glance like you may do with others such as how much it's up/down since purchase but you can easily use yahoo etc for portfolio tracking.

Thumbs up from me - especially due to low fee!

What happens to your shares in their nominee a/c if SVS ( or for that matter any other broker) goes into adminstration?
  • The shares are kept separate I think. SVS has no ownership rights just management. Or thats how it should be

You can obtain everything you want on shares from Digital Look. Need to spend time learning all the possibilities but worth the effort, some pointers in previous post here:

Can screen funds from same site. Alternatively have a look at Trustnet.

I have found in old storage paper certificates for shares in companies that have subsequently went bankrupt. Can I use this in any way shape or form? Or profit from them in any way?

I have the following share certificates:
    Haden Maclellan
    Just Group
    Think Entertainment
    Bula Resources
    eVestment

    Hi there

I've been looking at buying some US shares, NYSE:ZNGA looked promising.. developer of farmville.. and with all the facebook hype I was trying to buy shares. Hargreaves Lansdown don't list it tho! That seems to be the case with a lot of NYSE shares.. also HL can't even deal it online, would have to be an "over the phone" purcahse. 1% charge. min £20, max £50.

Anyone know a trading site that lists nearly all shares? and lets traiding online. take NYSE:IRE or NYSE:ZNGA as two good examples that HL don't support

    Thanks for any tips

  • I think you need to look at off-shore brokers like Internaxx. Others can comment on them better than by me. I only looked at Internaxx because its part of TD Bank Group.
  • I just looked at Internaxx's commissons and they look very expensive. I looked at Interactive Brokers and they are very competitive but if you're commission doesn't exceed $10 per month they will charge you the difference as an activity fee. Also they require a minimum deposit of $10 000 to open an account.

zecco allow non-US customers. Not too expensive.

EDIT: removed the bit about the refer-a-friend bonus since it only applies to US citizens.
  • Refer me to that teabag, sounds alright. What cut of the dividends would they take.

I seem to remember iii was rubbish on it, taking more then needed for tax. They might have updated since then not sure. They have IRE but not the other one

Questor just mention 'bargain' plays. GPX in Syria, obviously troubled and possibly a total loss. 120m cash and 200m market cap with producing wells in USA also.
Cheapest oil company in the world Ive heard them called
