I bank with hal****. Theyve been pretty good. The problem is with the help to save account. A government run savings scheme for people on tax credits. They use barcl*** who i have also spoke with and been really helpful. The problem lies with hmrc who held my savings. They have not been helpful at all. I appreciate something needs to be done to track it and it may take so many days etc but they just have repeatedly fobbed me off and said its not there job. Money has been missing now since 24th april. Its a nightmare. Ah well. The world keeps turning must carry on regardless. At least i will be financially sound again from payday on friday. I'll bet HMRC would soon find it if it was money owed to them... wouldn't be a problem if they had to have 100 people working on it! :mad:I Believe.....

Hello all. Its been a bit spendy the last few days. I seem to have been spend spend spend. To be fair most of it has been planned ish and I have bought two birthday gifts and a winter coat in the sale but i feel like i spent a lot quite quickly. The cupboards were very bare come payday so ive spent a fair whack on food but need to go again already. Ive also got some of the school uniforms from sainsburys in the 25% off. Had a voucher to get 8p a litre off if i spent a tenner as well so filled the tank up as opposed to weekly visits and making it last. I dont go in S very much as its costly but i got extra swipes in last week during their birthday celebrations and am almost up to a fiver in nectar points. Whats left of my wages and my planned earnings this month still have me on track to cover bills dmp payments and put a bit in each saving pot so im okay i just need to watch the spending as c tax credits and cb dont land till later in the month.
Im okay it just gets frustrating finding money for the little extras that crop up.
I did have a little wow moment the other day when my new mortgage payment went out. I knew i had fixed for 5 years but i had a little ping lightbulb moment when the direct debit came out and i realised that that was all i need to pay for the next five years and potentially in that time i may earn more get richer, things feel easier. I had a go on an overpayment calculator for a laugh and it shows that after 5 years even without overpaying my mortgage will be a fair bit smaller than now.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213
