I don't think you'd beat 2.19% on a 5 year fix anywhere else. It's what I'm aiming for! Unless your ltv is under 50%. I'm jealous - I need to go for a credit check to get mine. Be proud. Your doing brilliantly. Plus another debt gone forever!
You're nailing this. I wasnt trying to be smug telling you my working hours. Just that I think I'd be worse off with breakfast clubs to pay for. I'm bottom rung retail so it's a different situation.

Thanks. I was suprised at the rate. It was without any checks as well just a choice from our current provider. We were offered decent rates on three and seven years as well but this one felt the right one for us.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

I didnt think you were being smug about your hours. I think its good you can do it. No spare time for you though but to be able to pick the kids up everyday and have tea together does make me envious ha ha. Im bottom rung of nhs so dont worry about your job. Its just what works for the kiddy winks at the end of the day.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Posting frenzy today folks. Three in a row. Ha ha
Exciting times though as ive got an arrow to get straight to the last page of my diary. Much easier to post now.
We spent the weekend away using the s newspaper holiday scheme. Site was in dire need of thousands and thousands spending on it but aside from that we had loads of fun, the kids absolutely loved it and they played out in front of our room and made friends all the time we were there. They got to enjoy all the activities and I think we came more or less within budget for spends but just in case i have a shift lined up next weekend. Its meant for the savings pot but if we have made the leftover budget too tight till payday i could use some of that to see us through.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Thinks all okay today. Slight issue with my help to save account and a missing 200 pounds but i feel calm enough to post about it now. I transferred 200 to myself a whileback and its still lost inbetween them and my bank. Its put me in a right pickle but i get c benefit on monday which is just in the nick of time for the next set of d debits. Ive about 25 in my bank till then for food and petrol so i should make it. The missing 200 I do need back obviously but ive got a shift lined up each weekend for the next 3 weeks in case it become a long winded battle to get it back.
Honestly its shocking how much both banks have fobbed me off about it but i have secured mse knowledge on what to do next from the kind folks on the bank account forum so all is good.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213
