I live right next to a cemetary - it's nice and quiet, and it's unlikely that someone will build a three-story house on it...

Mind you, if you get a lot of noise from the cemetary at night, you *may* have a problem :).

I wouldn't, imagine coming home late at night, all the lights off................I walk my dog past a cemetry everyday, she stops and stares at the cemetry like she's terrified and wont walk any further until she is put on a lead and dragged away. We always say "she sees dead people......................"

I wouldn't have a problem with buying a house next to a cemetary.

    I wouldn't rent one though.

Because everyone knows that's dead money.

#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided

#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now

#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing

on a more serious note it would be nice and quiet unless there is a church that may ring its bells ?

Many people's view of the world is down to their experience, perception and what they have been conditioned to,this isnt any old MSE reply this is a important and experienced MSE reply :rotfl:

We have a huge cemetery at the bottom of our garden. When we first viewed I knew it was there, although the trees at the bottom of the garden are so big that unless you were aware of the location, you would never know. Our house and garden is extremely quiet, and as other posters have pointed out, we don't have to worry about a block of flats etc. being built there.

Incidentally, the Krays are buried a few metres from our fence. So we also have famous neighbours....;)
  • Wouldn't bother me, the dead can't hurt you, they're dead!!

    ;)
