    Morning folks!

ccl - I'm sorry to hear there's so much trouble. I hope you sleep tonight xx

A nice quiet evening in with OH. We made the paper chains and hung them. the room looks Christmas ready now! The only thing missing is to bring in some greenery nearer to Christmas. I did a bit more of Nan's scarf but need to crack on. However, will be working on OH's dressing gown belt tonight as he's in work

    Usual list from me:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • Gym at lunchtime - done. 10 mins max cals on the assault bike. Gonna puke.
    • Wash on timer to finish when I get home
    • Washing shuffle
    • Heating off/on low
    • Took meter readings and added to app - done
    • Start a list of what to take to the in laws this weekend. We are staying over 2 nights so best to take some of our normal food.
    • Reconcile budget sheet - mystery £7.99 payment to Amazon. Turns out they have charged me for prime after I cancelled. Am currently speaking to them. They are going to refund me.
    Have a good one all

    Morning all :)
Just sitting with a coffee waiting for a freecycler to (hopefully) turn up. Done so far:
Washed hair with shampoo bar (which seems to be ever lasting) and allowed to dry naturally
Saw OH off, making sure he took the parcel and cards I prepared last night for his sis and her family
Loaded the garden pots that the freecycler is hopefully coming to pick up into the wheelbarrow and wheeled round to the front of the house He didn't turn up :(
    Posted a RM survey item
Hoovered the stairs and tidied the kitchen
    Put some stuff away
Got the loose covers for the sofa bed out of the airing cupboard and into a bag with washing instructions etc, ready for sofa collection later. Hope that goes ok as it needs to be dismantled and OH isn't here to help

    Still to do:
Sort out lounge once sofa bed is hopefully gone. I have 2 chairs arriving by way of replacement on Friday. Done, the sofa people turned up, thank goodness!
Sandwich bits from fridge for lunch Done
Wrap the presents I bought yesterday - I have plenty of wrapping paper etc bought in post Christmas reductions at the beginning of this year :)Done
Sort out coat rack - I have to move the coats anyway, to make space to get the sofa out through our narrow Edwardian hallway. One coat already taken upstairs and put away. Coats all over the stairs atm
I will make myself an omelette for dinner :)Done
Check banks and update spreadsheet Done
No spends planned for today :)Nothing spent :T

Hopefully there will be more, but mainly focused on getting the sofa bed out of the door today
Load of washing done and out on line :)

  • Hello :hello:
Another stressful day, the issues with my ex rumble on. Currently waiting for the police to come round again after he's been back to the house twice more. It's an uncomfortable situation and I'm hoping that something can be done to keep him away.
Other than that, another nsd, a very busy day at work, and not gotten much else done. I did manage a decent night of sleep last night though which I am very grateful for.
  • Morning :D I've booked today off just because of how tired I've been lately and woke up at 6 no problem! Have a whole day to myself as madam will be going to mil's after school.

Given I have been so tired I am going to spend the day relaxing - knitting, sewing, napping, watch a film, listen to podcast series I'm in to, will have a quick tidy round as well.

Will make a simple dinner as will just be me

wrapping the last of the presents I have to wrap

    triage fridge

write list of things I want to pick up from sm. Have friends coming for a walk and lunch on Sat and I want to do some xmas baking with madam

Ok that's all. First thing I am going for an mri

Hope you all have a good day x

  • Morning all :)

Not been very organised today so far, forgot the key to my desk which contains my laptop  Thankfully OH hadn't left and my work isn't too far out of his way...
Merida - I hope your shoulder is ok?

Thanks CLF, I think it's ok, I've got much better movement and on no painkillers today so fingers crossed no lasting damage. Tomorrow's session involves running and biking so I might manage that :D

DawnW - glad the sofa people turned up! Don't understand why people don't text when they've changed their minds!

CCL - so sorry you're still getting rubbish from the ex. Really hope it gets sorted soon x

    Morning all :)
CCL, hoping you had a peaceful night :(
DNMS, hope the MRI goes ok
CLF, enjoy your time off, you've earned it!!
    Hello Merida :)
Windy and very cold here  Just walked dog, but he wouldn't go very far :rotfl:
    Also done:
Tidied kitchen, but just made a batch of scones, so I will need to do it again now :rotfl:Done
Folded up washing from airer and put into airing cupboard to put away later. None of that *ironing* word today :T

Crushed up 2 lurking squares of dark chocolate and added to fruit scones - I will report back! Having some scones or something else home made prevents me from buying naughty things :o and even if not good for my waistline, at least I know what is in it and it isn't packed with unnecessary sugar (I always reduce sugar in recipes, a batch of scones is fine with literally 2 spoonfuls in the whole batch). Raisin scones with flecks of dark chocolate.... what is not to like? :)

Well, it is very spacious in here without the massive sofa bed, but not very cosy - 2 comfy armchairs will be arriving tomorrow, so looking forward to that!
I am planning to go outside and do a bit of tidying in the garden and garage while our massive earth mover of a car isn't in it. OH is still away, so it is the ideal opportunity to have a go at the garage (he isn't bothered what I do in the garden) :D Will need to wrap up warm! Done, made space in the garage for the logs that will be arriving next week. Apparently they won't all fit in the wood shed. Also made space on the garage shelves for some of my sales stuff that was lurking in the dining room.
    Also need to:
Continue to use up sandwich bits from fridge for lunch Finished up the hummus today :)
Make myself pasta and tomato sauce for dinner Done
Continue with shopping list / list of things I want to make for the Christmas period. I will be cooking for an as yet unspecified number on Christmas day, and we will all be going to DD1's on Boxing day, but will be taking contributions with us :)In progress
Might walk into town and do monthly food bank donation :)Done, bought lots more things than usual for the food bank :) Bought some things from my Christmas food list, ingredients for the things I want to make. Also bought things from the 'normal' shopping list, like foil and ketchup :) Didn't buy any more than would comfortably fit in my trolley. Thankfully you can leave food bank donations at the drop off point in the supermarket, so I didn't have to carry those items far :)

Split up the packs of liver and pork mince that I bought, into suitable size portions for the recipes I intend to make - wild game and sloe gin sausage rolls, and a terrine. Re-used old, washed out freezer bags and other food bags rather than use new ones :)

Found a 1p coin on the road :)

Sorted the RM surveys stuff up until Christmas - there is loads of it this month!
Walked dog again - not that he would go far. He is neurotic about the missing OH and sofa I think :rotfl:

Did a couple of online surveys
Lit the stove, so it is toasty warm in here :)
