Continuing to chase invoices - [STRIKE]none paid[/STRIKE] £180 paid today hooray business is still coming in, now owed £605 and have a big buffet to do next week, some of the businesses are talking to me about it at least
Bank balance is [STRIKE]poor[/STRIKE] better, [STRIKE]Im trying not to look at it now [/STRIKE] Better 7 days til payday

  • Morning all :hello:

Another early start here, I've been up 2 hours already so today will mainly be powered by coffee :D I have been productive though and have:

Reconciled just for points credit card
    Checked banking, updated sheet
    Bought a shed
    Bought some travel insurance
Cashed out some cb to a retailer for 15% bonus
Withdrew cash for a fleabay sale and put to savings
Checked mine and DH credit reports, need to get a closed account off mine, will add to annoying things list

    Still to do:
Get something out of freezer for tea
    Load washer for tonight
    Drink more coffee :o
    Quick tidy round
    Shower using shampoo bar
Pick one space and tidy it :)

Think that'll do considering I need to fit in a days work too :D
  • Morning purps :D not sure if the time you posted, will get an idea when mine posts! Hope you're not too tired if it was much earlier!

I've woke up not feeling that great, a cold, but feel really cold and achy. Hope it doesn't get worse as tomorrow we have plans with friends we haven't seen for a long time and are moving out of the area. We're taking the pip for a walk and then coming back for lunch. Unless I'm at death's door I want to keep this plan! Will have to take it easy today!

Checked banking - thanks for the reminder purps! Should check cc as well, but don't know if I have the stomach for it! All monies out of various birthday/xmas piggies but still!

Will be using bag of toilet paper used at madam's halloween party (for wrapping up a mummy game) to blow my nose :D hahaha knew I was a hoarder for good reason!

need to nip to sm to pick up a couple of bits for weekend and will get majority of xmas food bits. After that will just be getting fresh fruit & veg xmas eve

will drop off some bits to tip on route and pick up car seat I reserved yesterday

get gammon steaks out of freezer for pasta bake this evening

madam going to party after school so won't need picking up till 6 :D I love and adore her but also love having full days to myself!

    clear out a kitchen drawer

sewing. Did one of my lessons yesterday on tailoring trousers. I was 90% on track but gave me a few extra tips. Going to take in a pair of trousers that are great but no longer fit since I've gone down a couple of sizes & want to put waist band & cuffs on a pair of pj bottoms that are too big :D May do one of the other lessons :D

    while sewing listen to podcast

finish sock today. I down, 1 to go. Will I make it before 25th????

mop floors, vacuum stairs & upstairs and clean bathroom

make Christmas pudding muffins. Just need a few bits as most things we have :D

    Ok that's all I think

    Morning all :)
My new to us chairs have been delivered, and they are quite big  Whereas the removals guy who collected the mahoosive sofa bed that I sold the other day knew what he was doing getting it out through our narrow Edwardian hallway, the two young lads who delivered the chairs didn't know how to get them in, and I had to tell them how to do it! Anyway, they are here now, and when OH comes back later today he can help manouevre (sp?) them into a more suitable place, and put their legs on properly. I don't want to shove them around by myself as I don't want to scratch the floor too much - though tbh scratches do cover up easily with some wood stain from OH's workshop :)Ended up having to move a cupboard upstairs as it was just too difficult to get round the room with the chairs in situ. I have too much furniture :o The cupboard, a beautiful painted oak one, probably Edwardian, made for the export market, fits beautifully at the bottom of the top flight of stairs. I will miss looking at it all the time though, as it really is stunning - heavy too, as it is made of solid teak. I have however identified a chair that can be sold to free up a bit more space :D

    Other than that I have:
Finished off the last brown banana for breakfast
    Walked the dog
    Cleaned up the kitchen
Sold an item on ebay :)
Planned what to make for dinner, which of course, I should have done before :o Got chicken breast out of the freezer to make it (paprika chicken - I am a bit limited atm as I have run out of most veg, need to go proper shopping tomorrow when I have the car back - didn't fancy parking the camper van in the supermarket car park when it is so busy)
Got the Christmas decorations down from the loft :)

    Still to do:
Check banks and update spreadsheet Done
Write some Christmas cards - only done the overseas ones so far. I would love to give to charity instead, but have lots of scattered rellies I don't see very often, and don't want to offend them :(Not yet
Continue use up of fridge items for lunch Done
Do a decent shopping list, making sure I don't forget anything. Not yet
Heating is on as it is really cold, but it will go off later once I light the stove :)Stove alight now, so heating is off, and kettle is on :)
  • I fear I may have gone a frugal step too far :rotfl: I was at the tip dropping off stuff and saw an iron (actually there were about 5), much better than our current one (real cheap £7 basics one) and with my sewing dreams I need a better one. The bottom was burnt and I felt pretty confident that was all that was wrong with it. Brought it home, used 2 paracetamol to clean the bottom and as I suspected £40 steam iron nothing wrong with it now in my possession :D:cool:
