I really need to make sure I get my savings in for the month on time - haha!
For the month of April I've saved £1,277.12 meaning an overall total of £7,536.91

I wonder if "rich" equates to "has a lot more money than me"?!
100K would seem like riches to many people, but if that person is approaching retirement without any/much pension provision then maybe not...Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0 -
Sent in my update the other day. I haven’t saved anything this month either, but it has been a very expensive month. Hoping this month will be better money wise but after this month I’m not sure what will happen, as I’ve been told this week that I’m being made redundant!
Thankfully I have savings and I’m hopeful that it won’t take me long to find a similar role, but yes, not the best news. Need to make a plan to be extra careful with my money this month!0 -

Sorry to hear, I know it may be hard but try to stay positive and think of this 'forced change' as an opportunity because you may end up in a better job than what you are in currently! Whether that be better working hours, location of your work, better commute, try something new, better colleagues etc... You see, sooo many opportunities!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

Number 148 checking in for May:
£756.58 (inc interest earned).
Another expensive month with attending a stag do and my car insurance due too so still behind my target.
But as I’ve said before on this thread I’ve got approx £7.5k savings in total now and this time last year that figure was precisely ZILCH!0 -

I've just updated for the last 3 months
DH finally found a job in April so we should get back on track now. We managed to live really frugally during his unemployment, so although we dipped into our cash savings a little, we maintained the pension and ISA contributions each month.
Not sure we will achieve this years target though....10lb to lose & keep off in 20204.5lb/10lb:rotfl:0
