Using the RK pay yourself first strategy I mentioned earlier I’ve moved £4,003.54 to savings for February.
Hopefully I won’t have to dip back in to this and the figure sticks. I did this in January and I didn’t have to go back to savings.0 -

Some great totals on here - well done and remember the small amounts add up!
Haha, yes, the round numbers thing kills me - which one needs to be round? I go for the CA and then the Savings when I scoop away the surplus, leaving the mortgage as the only raggedy total. This is because the BS always b-about with the interest in an unexpected way, so I can never accurately predict how they will apply it. The letters always say "your monthly interest is X" while the online total is completely different, and the actual figure in between is sometimes showing online and sometimes not!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I'm so on-board with tilly-tidying. Just figured out I put away an extra £180 just through rounding down to the nearest £10 in my current account every few days. I have my spreadsheet set out like a bank statement with all the ins and outs from the 25th when I get paid, and just update it with extra bits. I tally it to my bank account every week to make sure it's correct."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

Total for Jan £500.
Set up a SO to pay in to a saving account at the start of the month so the money wont be touched . Added another £500 yesterday, so so far £1000. Cant fill update form as have no number to enter and it womt let me leave answer blank or type word in. Sorry.0 -
Have just sent an updated update form for Jan, total now at £682.65
Was able to save more than expected, partly due to tight budgeting, but also a large bill due to hit during Jan is now being charged in Feb instead. Next month will be more challenging.0 -
I've just sent in an update! Very pleased to say that I saved £948 in January! Pretty sure this will be my best month of savings for the entire year for various reasons, but what a great start. So pleased and it's certainly spurred me on to ensure I can save as much as possible in 2019.0

Thank you geoffers4!
January update: I'm off to a slow start with £1110. It's mostly due to anticipated house-related spends and Feb should be a bit better.
Good luck everyone! :jSave 12k in 2022 #26
