Evening everyone I have saved £770 this month
Mortgage Amount Outstanding £116,682.20

I've had a crazy spendy month, £2250 over my usual monthly budget . But with that I’ve paid in advance for:
a week away; two hotel stays; three courses (study, not meals!); £300 on bargain sales clothes (50-80% off and which were needed); a spa day; stocked up the freezer; and bought 7 perfect presents for next (!) Christmas.
Luckily my S&S ISA has made up a bit of the ground it lost in December, so I could cover all that by the increase and so I still managed to save £1250 overall.
I must tighten the belt next month though after all that front-loaded spending but at least some biggish future events are paid for.
Good luck saving everybody, it's good to 'see' old regulars, returnees and new people here and hear how you're all doing. Thanks as ever to Slowly.Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:
Save £10,000 Jan-May 2022 THEN RETIRE!!
Final total for (half) year: -£4,0000 -
Super super pleased with this month's savings.£1350. I had overtime from December paid which helped alot. Not sure Feb will be the same. However I did find I had £100 of my budget left this month, so hopefully with Feb being shorter I will have some left too. I saved £50 of my budget and allocated the other £50 towards my overdraft, never to be touched againTotal savings 2018- £7450 (includes Lisa bonus)

Reporting in with £1035.35 for January, I wasn't expecting to hit my target this month with the CC bill from December, but still somehow made it.

Reporting in with £681.99 for January, helped by no council tax and no going out.Spend less now, work less later.0

Declaring for Jan: £908.46
Actually pretty chuffed. I know 10K will be stretch but this puts me ahead of target. I have £200 to pay in that I've counted up from loose change but I won't count that until it actually hits the savings account.0 -
Declaring £250 for January. A slow start, but with Christmas, big birthday and a chunk of a big holiday all falling into the same credit card cycle then I’m pretty pleased with that.Save £12k in 2019 #360

#99 checking in for January - I've managed to save £3,190 towards my goal of £12,000
I've also updated via the easy update form.
This month has been very unusual financially, so I definitely won't be replicating this every month but it's put me way ahead of where I was hoping to be and makes my target of £12,000 seem a lot more doable!MFW2023 challenge #99: £1090.11 / £1,000 MFiT-T6 (Jan 2022 - Jan 2025) challenge #99: Reduce mortgage to £400,000.
