Saved just £466 but it's a positive number which makes me very happy. We had a bit of a wobble at the end of january when our little Clio died and we 'panic bought' a new car. We'd been thinking about an adventure van for a while to use for exploring Scotland so ended up with a peugeot partner tepee - basically a van, but with 5 seats and windows all round. Obviously used, but managed to pay for the car, insurance and tax (well my half as I'm sharing the car with the BF) all from end of December pay with a tiny bit left over.

February onwards will hopefully be much better

Had a look at these threads over the past few years but never been able to join due to financial issues but now clear of all that and in the black so time to get saving again, set my target at £5,000 at 2019 and had a good January will be over the moon to hit this figure hopefully before the end of the year, happy saving everyone

Would have been more but after a trip to the opticians last week and being told I need to start wearing glasses and a trip to the dentist -£200 that could have been saved but heyho, still on track for my target!

Slow start for me this month. This is because I put all of my buffer money into savings instead of leaving it in my bank account, but I'm learning to live on minimal funds this year, or at least that is the aim!

I'm hoping to put around £400 pounds into savings this month but I may have to wait until the end to see how much is left.

I'm loving all the update though, it's very inspiring.
