Does it have to be a house or could you manage with a maisonette. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-54484191.html Some maisonettes have their own gardens.0

I know a house would be nice but you might find a maisonette with a garden much closer to St Albans which would cut down your commuting time and give you time to sit in the garden after work.0 -
In luton, you have Wigmore, Stopsley village, Sundon Park Village, Cokernhoe, Harlington village, Toddington. These are some of the areas I would consider if buying house.
I still have my flat in St Albans which I rent out and bought a house in luton. I did look at properties I. Dunstable first but just dudnt like it.0 -
To buy a massiontte near St Albans like London Colney you are looking at minimum £350,000 for a 2 bed.0

Have you thought about Hemel Hempstead? It's only 10-15 mins drive from St Albans and prices are fairly reasonable.

Eh? Toddington is 9 miles away from Luton, so hardly a suburb/area of the town .Dunstable is nearer to Luton than Toddington! It's at junction 12 of the M1, so a very high potential of it being a nightmare of a drive down to St Albans.0
